Part of the Furniture 1,000 Posts Photogenic Combo Breaker
Not strictly 'beds' but I recently bought a Sealy Windermere pocket mattress with pillow top. Absolutely fabulous to sleep on, but, it's a bit warm and I like a mattress cover. Problem is the sides are 30 cm, (12") deep and all the covers I find aren't deep enough.
Anyone know of any website/stores that will do a cool type mattress cover this deep?
    Thanks in anticipation

    Thanks Tim

I have also seen one more at Tesco, comparable in price - but this one has pocket springs rather than the open coil springs the Argos Airsprungs had.

Also, are bedbugs less likely to infest a metal bedstead with metal headboard (rather than a traditional wood & fabric divan base with velour headboard) ?

    Thank-you

I can't find that listing on the Tesco site .

Bed bugs would only infest fabric, so it would be the mattress that would get infested rather than a bedstead.

Unfortunately yet again it doesn't say anything about the depth or density of the memory foam. I've had a look on the Simmons web site and it isn't even listed there, so I presume it is specially made for Tescos.

As for the 800 springs, that will be in a king size mattress, so it has the lowest acceptable spring count, but would still be better than open coil sprung.

It is non turn, but I wouldn't expect any different at that price. It also says suitabe for any bed base, but I would take that with a pinch of salt. You probably can use it on any base, but it won't last as long with slats that are too far apart.

I can't understand why they don't mention how firm it is.

;) Dont know if I am too late to comment, I am a forum virgin and new to all this. I have had my mattress since January when it was on sale and I would change it for anything. No more backache and when your partner moves you do not move as well. It was strange at first as it does not bounce but you soon get used to it. We both enjoy the best nights sleep and although we wondered if we were doing the right thing, we wouldnt be without it, in fact, I have trouble keeping my husband out of it.

It sounds faulty. There is no hardboard inside them, so contact the seller who should replace it.

    ok tim

i looked much closer at the bed last night and it may not be hardboard but a solid edge to the springs it goes all the way round the mattress. so does that sound right. thanks

Yes that's normal, it's what stops you rolling out of bed. On open coil sprung mattresses you will hear it called a steel rod edge.
