My La Romantica Venice feels a lot firmer than my crappy old mattress, but at the same time its comfortable with a soft surface, if that makes sense!

It will feel firmer for a week or so until the memory foam looses it's newness. This should have been explained to you by the seller.

Based on that would the Lovell be a reasonable choice?

I'm not allowed to recommend anything on MSE...sorry

And that's exactly as it should be, Tim, so no need for the 'confused' emoticom.

After all, you are a mattress salesman and when money's involved the advice you give will not be impartial.

I would never take any advice from someone who sells mattresses for a living and I've disagreed with some of the advice you've handed out for "free" in the past because I thought it was self-serving.

Oh, by the way, I don't sell mattresses.

Give it a rest. It was used as a sorry emoticom, not confused.

You have caused trouble in the forums before and had threads locked because of your trouble making. I suppose you are doing the same here.

Thanks for the update. Like someone else on here (m.r.davies I think) I am also interested in the La romantica Madrid or Venice, so it was useful to hear what you thought of the Venice. If the Venice is the softer of the two mattresses, I guess the Madrid must be really firm then. I have a really old useless mattress so I really have no idea what they should be like! Thanks for your help and if I decide to go with Bed kingdom you may just become my good friend Vijay! Cheers.

hi, we've had the madrid for a couple of months now and it is very firm. thought it might settle after a few weeks, but not really. good quality mattress though

    thanks for the review
I think the venice is softer, so i think this will be more suitable for the wife

    keep the reviews coming!

I contacted bedkingdom for their advice and they said

If it is the following bed you were looking at

    http://test.bedofdreams.eu/en-gb/ProductDetails/?pid=371-00013&cid=MEMORYFOAM-DIVAN&language=en-GB

I would recommend would be the La Romantic Venice divan set the specification is as follows(similer to the one you viewed at dreams):

That's strange, because the specs are very different.

I know this thread has been done to death, but I have to recommend the Deep Quilted Windsor mattress off Ebay. I bought one for my daughter mid sleeper wooden bed, and it really is a top quality mattress for a bargain price. I can't post the link as I'm new, but a 3' mattress cost approx £46 new with approx £20 delivery, and it really is the same quality as one costing £££'s. You can get a 5' version for approx £85 plus delivery. I cannot recommend enough!

    Thanks tim

Out of the venice and the milan, which bed is more like the dreams Chausser?

...you should be able to answer that one!

The Milan doesn't contain memory foam, so I would have to say the Venice.
