Can anyone tell me what the average gap between a matteress and the side of the bed should be?

Different manufacturers vary. Are you sure one item wasn't continental size and the other UK?

I have gone for it as a double bed with divan draws for me and a single bed mattress for my mum. I hope its as comfy as the ones we tried in Dreams... I had to go with the above site as their prices are so competitive and they offer free delivery. I will let others know how I get on with Bed Kingdom when they deliver next week...

The memory mattress has a combination of 5cms high 6lb density viscoe elastic memory foam and a base support of (15cms) reflex foam for extra stability and comfort. With a velour 4 way stretch knit fabric (machine washable).

Any help appreciated.

I think whoever gave you that spec was telling you porkies...........The bed in the listing is supposed to be a reflex foam/latex foam mattress (not memory foam) with a damask divan base, but it shows a leather bed.

Can anyone recommend a hypo-allergenic mattress with or without latex please? I have mild dust mite allergy.

- My budget is £500-£100.
- I'm not a memory foam fan
- I sometimes wake up with lower back pain so I'm looking for something that's medium to firm

At the moment I'm looking at:

I seem to recall that Tim Deegan has said on more than one occasion that mattresses are not cheap at Argos unless they are in a sale/discontinued.
