Looking for a new mattress and like
Sensaform sirius memory form with a firmess rating of 9. They want 1120 as a divan set for king size. I couldnt find any info on the website about the type of foam etc and the sales lady didn't have a clue.

Is there one I could get from Snug that is similar? - http://www.snugmattress.co.uk/

sensafoam sleepright 2500 5ft mattress for £449 - 30mm super soft visco and 70mm of visco elastic

    also sleepezee Contour 70

Does anyone know where I can tryout a Romantica in Herts? Reading through the posts this seems to be a popular choice but I darent buy without trying it out.

Finally, does anyone make these memory foam mattresses for IKEA size beds.
    many thanks

Part of the Furniture 100 Posts Combo Breaker
I've got a slatted base, although the slats are 24cm with only 1.5cm gaps, would that still mean a pocket sprung bed would wear out quickly??

I've had a silentnight miracoil for the last 6/7 years and haven't had any issues with it until recently, maybe I'm just not fussy but it's definately time for a change.

How good are the memory foam topped mattresses - presumably they are only foam coated on 1 side so not turnable?

Is the ROMANTICA Lovell a good choice for the money? Is there a local stockist of that range (Birmingham area).
    ..........Insert amusing tagline here..........

Can anyone recommend a hypo-allergenic mattress with or without latex please? I have mild dust mite allergy.

    - My budget is £500-£100.
    - I'm not a memory foam fan
    - I sometimes wake up with lower back pain so I'm looking for something that's medium to firm

At the moment I'm looking at:
    Sealy Tranquility Latex @ Argos £440 http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/6606336/Trail/searchtext%3EMATTRESS.htm

I would do a search in the forum for that brand if I were you.

Sensaform are Sleepmasters own brand, and both the mattress and the seller have received some very bad reveiws in these forums.

Most independent manufacturers will supply Ikea (continental) size mattresses.

1.5cm is a very small gap for any slatted base, but it would mean that it would be suitable for any type of mattress.

There are some two sided memory foam mattresses available on the market.

thanks Tim - is there another brand you can recommend that has the same hardness as the sensaform sirius rating of 9 and comes in ikea size. i cant see its composition. i worry that if i buy one without trying it, it will be too soft. are there any stores where i can try it in herts/londoin area?
i have an ikea king size base that is fine - seems a shame to throw it out

  • There are now 148 pages in this thread. I'd love to say I have time to read them all, but I don't.

Can anyone post a summary of the topic so far? What are the top 5 choices for mattresses?

My husband and I need a new mattress asap. Our current one lasted for less than 3 years and it definitely wasn't cheap.
