King Koil are supposed to be a good make.
I hope so, I've just bought one! The warranty card says King Koil but the label says Kaymed, Ireland. Its a King Koil Health Support 4000. Went into local independent bed shop and tried dozens of matresses and this was the most comfortable, although its very firm so wont suit everyone. Its got a 'topper' of sorts on it, but I'm not sure if its memory foam or not. It wasnt cheap!0 -

If it's discontinued then maybe Kaymed might know what the spec was0 -
Yeah as per previous post I will try to call them in the week.0

I wish i had found this thread last week! I bought a new superking bed with i can only describe as springy curved slats, and ordered this mattress http://www.mattressman.co.uk/Silentnight/Mattresses/Mattresses/Super_King/P2783S6/Memory_Sleep.aspx.
I though going with silentnight guaranteed me a good mattress, its so soft that i have woken with lower back ache for the last 3 nights, after having 2 years with no back ache!!!is officially a GLEEK0 -

I'm sleeping better than ever, and when my girlfriend stays round, she moans at me that I need to buy her the same mattress for her at her house..! great..!
It's a great shame to see people coming on here, joining up just to shoot down a person who has been around a couple of years offering his free advice.
I've been taken in by the speil before from a certain large Swedish company, but this time round I followed Tim's advice (and most of it is common sense if you think about it..) I tried a few beds out from the 'big' manufacturers, and I also tried out the mattress and bed, in person, which I ended up buying.
Cheers.
Hey Matt, was it the Venice you got? I ordered one and am getting it this Thursday. I am scared I have to admit, with all the negative posts on here.
Hope I haven't made a mistake. Will let you all know...0 -

Yes it was - see post #2003.
Anyway, our second night's sleep with the Madrid has proved that it takes a while to get used to these things. We both slept really well :j with no aches/pains or pins and needles. It's really quite a change though and Matt's quite right about the extra height as the mattress is 11" deep. Don't go falling out of bed....0 -

Yes, as Slonik says I did get the Venice. I've not seen negative posts about the actual product itself - just of people trying to discourage knowledgeable individuals from helping, which is a big shame as I'm really pleased I listened!
The guys from Bedlum Beds are great, so if it's them you've bought it from, I'm sure you'll be pleased. Let us know how you get along!
Ps, not fell outta bed yet! :j0 -
I know this is an ancient thread but...
I'm thinking of buying the malm bed, but my OH thinks its a bit low down. He didn't have a reason why that bothered him, and I didn't have a reason why it shouldn't bother him. Apart from aesthetics, is a low bed a problem assuming neither of us have medical complaints?
The reason we have decided on an ikea bed is two fold, one becasue we want a superking size and the prices for these in all the other shops is astronomical and two my son has an ikea bed and mattress which is the comfiest bed ever (no mattress topper).
Or budget is 500, which even for the cheapest of the cheap in other shops is woefully inadequate.0 -
Hi,
My wife and i need to replace our double mattress and had been considering the follwing option:
http://www.sleepmasters.co.uk/mattresses/sensaform-cameo-mattress-158.html
Can anyone let me know if it is a good buy at £249.95?
The one we currently have is one i had at home before we got married and is just a standard sprung mattress. We don't know anything about memory foam but this one seemed comfortable, with just the right balance between being firm enough for me, and soft enough for her.
We would be hoping to spend in that region but can up it by a bit if it is worth it.0
