Maybe do some Google work trying to find local suppliers of the recommended brands on here, so at least that way you are testing recommended mattresses and then you can come home and order online to get the discount? Previously recommended have been La Romantica, Staples (Myers), Restus, Harrison, Relyon & Kozeesleep.:A Luke 6:38 :AThe above post is either from personal experience or is my opinion based on the person God has made me and the way I understand things. it looks a fairly base model though. No real info on manufacture, turnability etc, and 800 spring count is too low if you need good support for a 26stone man! I'd suggest 1200+

Thanks Rev. I would love to try a La Romantica as they come so well recommended, but can't really take a trip up from Kent to Yorkshire to bounce on a mattress for 20 mins!!0

Have planned on putting peg board on the slats as it has been a problem with our previous mattress. Thanks. I think the one we looked at yesterday was a 2000 count spring, but the lady said they were a double layer. I think she may have meant one in side the other??0

Some maunfacturers do them inside each other, some do them on top of each other I think. A too high spring count can mean that the springs are small and potentially fragile, so going too high can have the reverse effect too! 1200-1600 would probably be good, but post links if you find anything and we'll try advise:A Luke 6:38 :AThe above post is either from personal experience or is my opinion based on the person God has made me and the way I understand things. Thanks Rev!
Biggest trouble is we have is finding somewhere local that stocks mattresses worth looking at! Is it worth looking at Bensons Dreams Helibeds?0
