Where did you buy it from?

Don't laugh, because I am beginning to feel stupid! :p I bought it from Flooring Mart in Kent. As mentioned in a previous post they specialise in carpets and not beds, which is why I thought it was probably old stock. According to Sleepeezee one other retailer stocks this model only its 2000 pocket sprung. Having done research in places like Dreams (and being horrified by the price), I thought I was getting a good deal... now having read through your advice am not so sure...

Hi, I bought 2 mattresses from an ebay seller back in June 8" thick ones.
    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Deep-Quilted-Windsor-3ft-Single-Mattress-Bargain-3-FT_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQ_trkparmsZ66Q3a2Q7c65Q3a1Q7c39Q3a1Q7c240Q3a1318QQ_trksidZp3911Q2ec0Q2em14QQhashZitem200275887810QQitemZ200275887810QQptZBedsQ5fMattressesQQsalenotsupported

I had a few quid back buying them through quidco or was it topcashback not sure now. Excellent mattresses the kids have had compliments from their friends on their comfy beds.

The hook for me was £21.99 for first postage and £5 for the next item. It was the cheapest i could find at that quality. And i was searching for days before i made my decision.

To add another question, does the bedframe or divan base matter at all or is it all in the mattress?
Whats with the latex mattresses they cost a fortune!!

Yes the base does matter. You first need to decide what type of mattress you want. This can then determine the best type of base.

Latex rubber is very expensive and is produced from natural raw materials. Personally I don't think it is as good as memory foam, but some people like it because it is natural.

It sounds like a lower end pocket sprung bed. You could have bought cheaper on line, but it doesn't sound like a bad price for a shop.

There's a lot of difference between feels for single and double. If you like, you can post the link to the Windsor on the 'Which Mattress' thread you can get some advise as to whether it's as good a VFM mattress as you believe...It may save you some money if you can get a better version for the same cash or cheaper.
