Speedy reply, thank you.
Looking to spend as little as possible for the best most expensive bed:D
No seriously, i want a memory foam mattress (from reading this thread, the with springs is better. 1000 springs?) and the wifey wants a "contemporary" bed deifinately NOT pine, nearly forgot, Kingsize. Me i don´t care as long as i get a good nights sleep what it looks like.
Thanks again for the quick reply,

Roughly what budget then? I need something to work with:A Luke 6:38 :AThe above post is either from personal experience or is my opinion based on the person God has made me and the way I understand things. About 500-800 i think. I am moving back from Spain so really don´t know to tell the truth0

There's plenty of 'contemporary' bed makers out there, so that bit is fairly straight forward. Here are some examples, but not used tham myself. The mattress should be within budget at less than half of your £800, I would suggest 1000+ pocket springs, fully turnable with around 2-2.5" of memory foam top and bottom as a starter. Although it's easier, try not to get a deal on the mattress with the bed, as you will usually end up with a poor mattress to compensate the lower deal. If you get them seperately you can get exactly what you want from both.:A Luke 6:38 :AThe above post is either from personal experience or is my opinion based on the person God has made me and the way I understand things. I like the price of the third one......it says £0 :j . Some of the others seem quite expensive though. The mattress should be within budget at less than half of your £800, I would suggest 1000+ pocket springs, fully turnable with around 2-2.5" of memory foam top and bottom as a starter. Unless it is a divan set. In which case the mattress is the main part of the purchase.0 -
Pricey yes, but googled contemperary beds and they were some of the cheaper ones  I was referring to the wooden, contemperary deals they offer as the better deal with seperates.:A Luke 6:38 :AThe above post is either from personal experience or is my opinion based on the person God has made me and the way I understand things. We haven´t ruled out a divan with a "nice" headboard (apparently:rolleyes:)0

Tried to buy the 3rd one  but the basket doesn´t recognise the 0:00 value bed :rotfl:0
-
To add another question, does the bedframe or divan base matter at all or is it all in the mattress?
Whats with the latex mattresses they cost a fortune!!0 -
Bedframe or divan base - doesn't really matter, it's more cosmetic.
Divan's give you the option (if you choose drawers) of some additional storage areas.
Otherwise you can still fit things under the bed.
I don't really see the point of a divan without drawers, other than it's cheaper to make (i.e. a cheap frame is hidden by the divan covering).
Hope this helps,
