Well there is definitely more than one on-line seller that sells good products!

Ok, I get it now...more than one seller, rather than more then 'one' seller...:A Luke 6:38 :AThe above post is either from personal experience or is my opinion based on the person God has made me and the way I understand things. Tim wont comment on these, so as to not break forum rules. They fill the criteria for a good bed and VFM though.
Sorry Ti, it all gets confusing and I'm determined not to let go of my new found resolve to have purchased beds by the end of this weekend, hence my manic-nessYou thought the those I'd chosen represented VFM and I wondered if you thought them good beds at the same time?
Re the other two links, I've done one and when I use the same spec as I'm potentially buying (damask, pocket springs, etc) there's no difference. I nearly made a HUGE mistake last week buying a "bargain" which would have been money down the drain for me (TJHughes) eeek!
Aw, would you look at that, my first ever "Quote", am SO proud:DGrocery Challenge M: £450/£425.08 A: £400/£.May -£400/£361 June £380/£230 (pages 18 & 27 explain)0 -
Well done
The beds you had the link to are beds Tim sells, so by definition they will be mattresses Tim himself recommends and fill the criteria set out by him and others as quality and VFM. Made by lower production brands with higher quality standards, turnable, decent materials and spring counts.
Reference the other links, you say you are looking for damask, pocket springs etc, but be careful there too. I made the same mistake presuming that all damask and all springs are the same. You can get lower quality damask and small, foam encapsulated springs that dont last long but improve the spring count!
It's a tough old game with many a stumbling block, but thank goodness you've found MSE and can make a more educated/informed decision.
Hope that helps!:A Luke 6:38 :AThe above post is either from personal experience or is my opinion based on the person God has made me and the way I understand things. Please don't be offended if that opinion differs from yours, but feel free to click the 'Thanks' button if it's at all helpful!0 -
Hi, dont know if im more confused now than before! I'm after a single mattress and think ill go for a pocket sprung after reading through some of the posts but just dont know where to buy. It was suggested to go to a local bed shop rather than a large bed store chain but we dont have one near. So ive got the usual choice of big stores but dont know who trust now. Or am I better buying from the internet. Also think i need to be looking at myers or relyon but they seem very dear for me. Would really only like to spend £250 max.
(just checked out the link by fletch3163 - think i may have seen a good one by kozeesleep, thanks )
It's small independent manufacturers you need to be looking for, but you only tend to find them in independent shops or on line.0 -
Am SO close now, YIPEE!!
Think am altering the small double's base to a sprung one (son's 11 and will probably bounce on the thing - upping price by £50) and reduce my KS mattress to Kozeesleep Pocket Master £285 from Restus at £386Grocery Challenge M: £450/£425.08 A: £400/£.May -£400/£361 June £380/£230 (pages 18 & 27 explain)0 -

£250 should get you a decent pocket sprung mattress from an independant manufacturer, ignore my comment about open coil, I was thinking King Size!
