    Me again

    What about these:

This one's for husband and me

    http://www.bedlum-beds.co.uk/product/RESTUS-Coniston-Pocket-Sprung-King-Size-Mattress.-386.00/

And perhaps this one for my son

    http://www.bedlum-beds.co.uk/product/La-ROMANTICA-Adora-Double-Divan-Beds.-From-190.00/

Am I getting any better at this choosing malarky? Am away now to try one called Beds R Us? Here's hoping.
Tim wont comment on these, so as to not break forum rules. They fill the criteria for a good bed and VFM though.

Hi, dont know if im more confused now than before! I'm after a single mattress and think ill go for a pocket sprung after reading through some of the posts but just dont know where to buy. It was suggested to go to a local bed shop rather than a large bed store chain but we dont have one near. So ive got the usual choice of big stores but dont know who trust now. Or am I better buying from the internet. Also think i need to be looking at myers or relyon but they seem very dear for me. Would really only like to spend £250 max.

(just checked out the link by fletch3163 - think i may have seen a good one by kozeesleep, thanks )

Try looking here or here Free next day delivery and plenty of options to choose from.

  • Good morning and thanks very much for your response.

I had thought I'd queried Airsprung beds last night from Bedzrus but I didn't. Obviously one has a habit of going with the names they recognise instead of those they are recommended.

Value for money is only ever one part of the equation. If I might, can you tell me if you think they sound like good beds. I'd hate to be bursting everyone's chops on here in 2 years looking for another bed, I'm rubbish at it:D

Re the Restus one I chose, it's £386 and I checked again why I chose this over the Kozeesleep Pocket Master at £282. It was because the Soft to Firm ratio was more leaning to the firm on the Kozeesleep, do you think it would make a huge difference. I don't like to sleep on a marshmallow but I wouldn't like a brick either.

Thanks for your help thus far, I truly appreciate it.

I've just previewed this post to check it out and I see Espresso and Nibs posting below. Nibs if I can say, I sent my husband to Dreams with the same spec as I'm looking at online and he was quoted just over £900 for Silent Night beds (which I'm assured on here are not so good :o ). Espresson, I'll away and check out your links now, I'm fast becoming O level beds now:rotfl:

Well there is definitely more than one on-line seller that sells good products!

If £250 is you limit, you would probably do better to get a top end coil sprung bed with decent filling than lower end pocket sprung mattress. The same brand apply as good manufacturers, but you would get a better quality for that price with open coil instead of pocket, and probably have change left over too :)

Quality rather than quantity wins every day espresso ;)

Airsprung have been rated poor quality on here before (see page27), but maybe post the link if you have one and someone can check the spec.

    Which ones exactly?

Unfortuantely each manufacturer has slightly different values for firmness, so it's hard to recommend without trying them directly. I would suggest, based on what you've said that medium-firm would be your best bet. Much less is marshmallow-like, and firm is really only for back pain sufferers.
