Hello! I'd like to join in and keep track of what I buy each week, please!
I have a rather large OD (bummer) and about £200 on the credit card. had my LBM a few weeks ago but haven't really made much progress. Annoyingly expensive things keep popping up!
Anyway, today has been a really terrible day, money-wise! Someone knocked my wing mirror off my car when it was parked on the street outside my house, so had to take that to the garage for repairs. £70 down already. Then I bought a new coat (pretty essential really) which was £52 and spent £22 on food shopping in my lunch break. Bad times! I'm gonna try not to spend anything else for the rest of the week though. We shall see!0 -
Hi Grammargirl! :hello:
Of course you can join in! It's a shame about your car but it couldn't be helped so don't feel guilty about it. Good luck with saving. I'm doing terrible atm! Yesterday I was all ready for a no spend day then bought sleeping beauty and some other dvds on my lunch break *ahem* Trying not to spend a penny until friday.0 -

Heya - just checking in again, I haven't been doing very well MSE wise
I've lost all control over my banking and my balances and I'm all over the place its not true! And I keep not qualifying for surveys and I still havent got a job but in fairness I'm not looking hard and I have loooooads of uni work but hey... Think in this mon-fri I managed to only spend £10 which was quite good for me but I have no food or anything in at the minute so this weeks gonna be a massive hit on the old budget-o.
I think I'm going to join the NSD challenge and the £10 a day challenge again this month, sort of flaked out last time because I have very limited internet connectionBut soon, I will be back in the game and will be saving up for a holiday and christmas and everything else yey!!! (oh - and to return the savings I've spent )

Tinkerbel - can sympathise, I have masses of uni work to do too. Ergh. I am going to spend much more on food I usually do today, but a lot of this stuff will keep me going for a while, so investment I guess.0

I'm sure you'll get back on track soon tinkerbel! It seems to be going all over the place for everyone atm. Good luck with the £10 a day and NSDs. I'm hopeless with them! I need to get back on the mse-wagon. But i've been saying that for a week now.
I spent alot today! Went shopping with my sister, bought frank another xmas present, and topshop had a sale on (I am hopeless!) so did H&M. Spent alot on food this week too (all meal plans went out the window.. far far out the window) thankfully the parents are back tomorrow so it means no more food worries! I feel sorry for my mum now though.0 -
After my bad month with bike insurance, and going away twice I was actually doing quite well but on Sunday I started having tooth pain and hey, now I have an absyss and need root canal treatment to sort it out. Got a feeling thats gonna set me back around £200 *sigh*0

eeeeeugh!! Not just the money - the pain!!
Aren't you a student and you could claim it back? or do you have insurance?I don't know, im just thinking how rubbish it will be so I'm trying to help! Sorry lol.
I've just made sure I have enough in the bank to cover my rent but I have no incoming expenses that I can see for ages!need to try and get some casual work I think, or sell some stuff on ebay or drag my !!! back to slice the pie etc, I keep not qualifying for surveys as well and I'm no where near the cashout level with any of them either and I have sold/spent all of the vouchers I had grr... need to deffo think of some new money making scheme, what do you guys think? Any ideas?

Villafan - Oooouch!! I'm scared of dentists since I had a filling last year (whatever the hell they put in my mouth to 'numb' it didn't work at all!) Isn't there anyway you could claim some back?
Tinkerbel - I can't think of anyways to make money atm :undecided might be an idea to have a long trawl over the up your income threads, but if you've done that, not a clue!
I'm just having a catch up on here before my brother puts top gear on  then I'm going to sort the washing out before my parents get home. I've got a feeling we're going to get a rollocking, loads of ironing needs to be done, washing basket is about half full :lipsrseal All I seem to of done this week is walk dogs, mop floors, cook food then wash up.... right time for a last minute whip around to clean up!!0
