What's wrong with your internet connection? Hope it gets sorted! Frank's new job is in Ladbrokes which is great because he's banned from betting in any branches :j

Has been a pretty expensive weekend for me aswell :/ spent quite abit at meadowhall, got a new dress (first in ages!) some makeup *slaps hand* My new coat (needed that! The £15 one from Asda) Cinema, £10 at the seaside (not bad i guess!) then bought hair stuff yesterday. Didn't feel too guilty about it though, my MSE ways are slipping abit! So i need abit of a kick up the !!!!**

i'm going to buy some shampoo on the way home from work tonight, i'm admittedly a shampoo snob. But i've read some great reviews of asdas range that's just under a pound (not the bright green stuff!) so I'm going to give that ago. I have some sunsilk leave-in conditioner I got from B+M so i'm alright there :)

did some shopping in my dinner break, bought 3 books (2 books for my mum for chirstmas, and i've already bought everything for her! and a cook book for me) and a dvd, meet me in st louis for my sister, yet another xmas pressie. I think this early shopping has come around and bit me on the bum.

I've taken all my stuff off of amazon, their charges are stupid!! I'd rather wait and try them on ebay one day instead.

Sorry I haven't been around, been so busy, and then when I'm not so, I am too tired to just surf.

I have some nice Sainsburys apple shampoo...

I haven't had many NSDs recently - I have had to pay bills and buy a textbook. Nothing on luxuries though.

Ooo, cook book? I really enjoy cooking.

I prefer Amazon to Ebay...but it depends what you're selling. I have only ever sold one thing on Ebay but sold quite a few textbooks/academic books on Amazon.

I admit, they are good but I sold a book for £20 (one of franks uni ones) then got amazons fixed rate P&P, which was £5 I think. Then I got something like £7 taken off in charges, and postage for the book was £7 so he hardly got anything for it :/ and when i did a banks transfer for £25 I only got £19. Seems abit over the top. Plus I was having one of those days yesterday and it didn't help :rotfl:

I got one of Rachel Allens cookbooks, Food for living. I'm going to try and work my way through it cooking meals at the weekend. I'm alright at cooking, but I can only do basic things!
Asda didn't have any own range in that I was after, so I got another bottle instead for 98p and I now smell like 'sunkissed raspberries' It's really nice!

How's uni going? Have you sorted your budget out now?
  • Don't think I should post here anymore.. Me posting on a saving thread is going quite against the grain at the moment :p

I think my trouble is I can't say no. You seem to be treating yourself to DVD's and things and my friends are like "fancy going Poland?" and I just can't help myself lol. Been doing all them market research things to get some vouchers like for £10 but seems like a drop on the ocean. Oh well. Most of the spending has been done now. As long as I spread the Christmas spend my saving should be back on track after this weekend. Here's hoping!

Haha, alright. Slight difference between Poland and some DVDs I guess :D As long as you had fun, it doesn't matter about money. Life's too short, as my granny would say!

I've got a list of things I want from cath kidson, I've put the more expensive things on my christmas wish list and I'm planning on buying the other bits after next payday. Been saving up little bits of money each week, so I'm having a shopping spree tomorrow! Excited! Admittedly in primark, but a spree non-the-less.

    Yay! Friday!!

Stuffed up with a cold! :( bleh! clothes shopping is off until next week, going to TKmaxx this afternoon (closer and quiter than Primark) to see if they've got some nice bedding. Dreaming of finding some Lulu Guinness bedding for £3.
Broken my 100day challenge! *angry face* Was wandering about asda high on cough syrup yesterday buying bits for cooking and came out with an eve magazine without a second thought. Saying that I bought a pie dish and some mince meat on a whim aswell.
