    Evening all

Hugs to all in need - I have read the thread - honest - but it's all gone in and got lost en route to my brain.

Having a bit of a "blugh" day today..... We're going to be down £800 a month come November  and I'm really not sure how we're going to cope. £500 of that we've known about for ages, the other £300 we only found out about yesterday when DH's car share people all announced they've got new jobs and won't be contributing to petrol costs anymore. Me thinks we need to put our thinking hats on.

Got a wedding present dilema too - best friend is getting married in 2 weeks time, as her wedding pressie, I made all her invitations (big mistake as she upped the amount she invited from first estimates and it cost me over £70 in the end)...anyway, I'm feeling that I should hand over a small gift on the day but obviously don't want to spend more than I need....any suggestions?

DH is off sick again - back to the Dr's tomorrow - he's currently in bed - not seen him look this rough before and I'm very worried about him. DD2 went back to school today and came home in tears with head ache and sore throat (just how guilty did I feel!!!)

To continue on the guilt theme, they've had chicken dippers and oven chips for tea - not an OS meal in sight! Ah well - I'm sure it won't hurt.

Think I may relax with a bar of choc and a glass of wine tonight.

    Sorry for the moan :D

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: sounds just like my dog she will eat anything but sprouts, she loves satsumas, and cries for them if they are on the counter :D

Pooky, hugs to your dh and ds hope they feel better soon. Re the wedding, how about making them a personilised invitation to their own wedding, and have it framed, something for them to keep, or a lottery ticket bought on their wedding day xx

    Okay Daft Question time...

Twinks Hobnobs how long do they last? I have made around 200 and was going to freeze some, but wondered how long they would last in a container, if I pretend they aren't there and don't tell DH that they taste so nice! Only two (or maybe five) broke so they were the only ones that I have eaten!

We had a major baking session, I have made some little fairy cakes, cookies, Twinks Hobnobs and a giant jaffa cake! I have also started the marinade on the chicken for the Tikka. It will make 10 portions!

Hey Lamewolf - just realised that you and I must be nearish to each other! Easiest way to work it out when you go to Mr T which one of the three do you go to? We go to the Bletchley one!

Right got to go as DH just pulled up in my new car!!!
Hi Pippad. Closest one to me is Wolverton. Usually though I go into Central MK to Sainsburys, as they have more of the things I need, or if I just need a few bits get Mr LW to go to Morrisons at lunchtime, as he works 5 mins walk from Morrisons in Letchworth.:T
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)
