Happy Anniversary  MeanMarie. I was surprised to see you online. I fully expected you to be in bed by now. :D

Never mind Tired MUm. I'm sure a better job is just round the corner.
Congratualtions Ollie'sMummy. What an exciting time for you.
Squiggly - That sounds a really sensible idea. We need excitement. :D

Another cold morning here. I"m off to make DH pack up and then DGS should be down. I'm taking him with me to get my hair cut, so that should be fun. :D Hope you all have a good nights sleep. I didn't. :p Byeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

    evening everyone

while i was in pre-interview stress dd wangled me into looking after dgs for a couple of hours tonight. She has just got back and been informed by dgs that we had chicken lollipop for dinner - it was actually lamb kebab :) she is an hour late which has meant an extra 57 times of being told "im-a soooooooooooooooo hungwy" he is as skinny as a bean pole and would eat non stop given the chance

the interview went better than i thought it would but there are 3 vacancies with 5 applicants and 2 of them already work there and have been doing the job on temporary promotion so ..... well fngers crossed
I'm going to feed our children non-organic food and with the money saved take them to the zoo - half man half biscuit 2008

right, well i've been a busy bee this afternoon.
cleaned my kitchen from top to bottom (it needed it, trust me) apart from the oven which I will attempt tomorrow- did I read somewhere that soda crystals in water is good for ovens? mine is seriously manky- the glass is encrusted- cannot believe i just admitted that on a public forum  . Will the soda crystals work well on the glass? I am guessing that I would have to leave it to soak in for a little while. hopefully someone can help me with that query.

Sterliised DS's highchair tray as he is at the finger food stage. no clue why i actually bother as he picks up everything he can find on the floor anyway

Went through some old bits & pieces and sorted out 2 bags of stuff for freecycle, including my old wedding dress (it was either that or use it for rags). I have had quite a bit of stuff from there over the past few months including a fab leather 3 piece suite so I feel like its my turn to give something back. I was going to offer all of my cardmaking stuff as I have lost my mojo with it over the past year or so, but i figured that i should hang onto it for a while yet as i may want to make xmas cards. Hopefully all the freecycle stuff should be gone by sunday as it is sitting at the end of the hallway including a huge stuffed rottweiler that my oh won for me at a fun fair. i dont really want to get rid of it (sentimental more than actually liking it) but my dog (1/2 rottie 1/2 staff) is very wary of it and i think he is under the impression that its real lol

also sorted out 2 black bags of ds old clothes etc to take to the second hand shop (they give you half of whatever they sell the item for either in cash or credit) so my fil (taxi service) will have to drive me there at the weekend.

those of you who read the diy board may have seen my post about the hoover- me being blonde i didnt check it properly, and the belt had gone. got a new one today and thankfully my beloved dyson is back in tip top condition- the amount of dog hair i hoovered up from the carpet made me feel a bit ill- just goes to show how much can accumulate when you dont hoover for a couple of days!

tomorrow's jobs are to wash all the nets (kitchen one looks really iffy) and the dog (not at the same time though lol), clean my balcony and just general tidying, running round chasing ds

need to think of something nice to get/make my oh for our anniversary in a few weeks. we've had a lot of trauma this past year and i want to do something really special for him including a nice meal and maybe a small gift.

thanks to all those who welcomed me
