OS Daily Thursday 10th July

Sunnyday

Hi, this is the Daily Thread for 10th July. This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything OS and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an OS natter. The more the merrier!
When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem, we’re a laid back bunch here so you won’t hear any complaints. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning.
Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” type start does just as well.
Morning everyone:wave:
thank goodness it`s Thursday, i have a few days off after today so hopefully the weather will cheer up and i can get some more jobs done in the garden.
(hope i`ve not jinxed it now )
Today it`s nice and sunny outside but having not seen the weather forecast i have no idea whether or not it`s going to last. Fingers crossed eh!
All the usual chores are done this morning, wm, dw & bm but i`m fast running out of places to hang the washing to get it dry.
I`m planning a bit of cooking too whilst i`m off but not too much as i`m on a mission this month to empty the freezer, it`s actually only half full now so i`m hopeful this time, i`ll try not to look for any bargains in the supermarket:D
The small houndie wasn`t too bad in the night coughing wise but chasing her around the house with a spoonful of cough medicine is not to be recommended:rolleyes: especially when it`s a fruity flavour designed to be attractive to kids and the dog just stares suspiciously at it with clamped shut jaws.:D
I`m off to catch up with the rest of yesterdays thread now and find out what everyone was up to later on.
Have a lovely day guys, i`ll pop in later.

Its my DD's 13th Birthday today, so am waiting for her to get up and open her pressies. We have some family coming over at 3 and are going to a chinese buffet for dinner. She will have her party sunday.
DD has the day off school today as she has an orthodontist appointment in the middle of the day and its about 1 hour each way. Before that hope to get some washing and paperwork done.
Thats about it, have a great day.

absolutely chucking it down here, and looking at the big puddles it must have been pouring all night. when is summer coming? was so cold in here I have had to put heating on for an hour.
off to work shortly. DS has theory test today. Roast chicken for tea. very mundane day I'm afraid.
hope everyone else is have a more exciting day.x x x0 -
Morning. Dry here at the moment, but the sky looks like it might dump rain on us any time.
All is well here, our works meeting and brewery visit was great, although there is only so much beer you can consume in 3 hours. Got home at 7.30 and had a huge pizza. I am still alive today so I guess all is well.
Day off and nothing planned. We have a fishing comp tomorrow at Newquay, so will have to keep an eye on the weather, sea swell etc. I hope it comes off as it takes a bit of organising.
Daughter is sick, so might have to go to the docs today. Then there might be bait to get and other stuff to do...
Well folks have a nice one.NO to pasty tax We won!!!! Just shows that people power works! Don't be apathetic to your cause!0 -

Its NOT raining at the moment, but the sky looks bad, so might get some more later, off to w**k today, more party planning, my characters name is Bea O'Problem  , lots to do today will be busy.
OH has a driving lesson after work for two hours, so later dinner tonight, chicken curry, which is already cooked, will just need to heat it through and do some rice.
Sunny hope the doggies are ok xx
HappyBrithday to Miss Essex Girl xxxx
Also wanted to mention bargin Rzl, who I think is off to Paris tonight, and who's birthday is is tomorrow, have a good trip hun, and a great Birthday
Huggles for smoky, pen pin, jayward, candy, anniestar, and all those in need.
Hester, take care of yourself xx
Have good days all xx0 -
Morning all and Happy Birthday to Miss Essex-Girl!"
(((Hug))) to Smoky, PenPin, Mrs Mix, Beth and her DBs (although I know she's in Toulouse at the moment!, Candygirl's Dad, AnnieS, Jayward and all those who are poorly or anxious at the moment.
Chrisca - give that lovely baby a (((hug))) from me when you visit her!
Well, I woke up feeling a little bit nauseous (no, I'm not pregnant!) so I hope it isn't that sickness bug that got my Mum this week. I was going to start the thread about an hour ago but had to go and sit on the sofa for a while and, of course, I dozed off. I'm having a cuppa but not sure if I feel like eating anything at the moment.
I must get the ironing done today, some more wedding favours and a bit more paperwork - that'll be fun if I start throwing up!
Dinner will be a risotto in the Remoska using the recipe in the manual - although if I still feel like this it could well be just a bit of toast!
It has actually stopped raining and the sun is shining but I'm not holding my breath for a nice day today; it was so wet and windy through the night that I fully expected to see flower pots and tubs damaged in the garden but it seems to be OK.
Well, DS2 has just texted to say he's calling in after work this evening; he worries about me being on my own and I haven't got the heart to tell him that I am enjoying the break from his Dad!
Anyway, think I'll go and have a bath - will pop back later. Have a good day, everyone!

Congrats to Chisca on DGD, Happy B'day to Rzl, hugs to smokey, PP, jayward, candy & anniestar & anyone I've missed.
I've taken hubby to the station, BIL is still in bed, he finally went to the Dr's about his hand & it is broken, he has to go back in 2 weeks to see the surgeon & he has an appointment with the trick cyclist next Tuesday.
It turns out he could have moved into his new place already, he's stalling, so he obviously doesn't feel ready yet. I'm not pushing as I'd feel responsible if he left & then tried to top himself again. If he gets help he may be ready by the end of August. If it's dry tonight hubby will put my bug box up.
Have a good day everyone.
Hugs Hester

Morning all,
It stayed freezing all day here.I made a batch of Milo biscuits this morning and tackled the dreaded filing cabinet after m'tea. After lunch I took 2 cold & flu tablets and promptly fell asleep on the bed. I hope I can sleep tonight now. DH got home about 2.30pm so been doing nothing except chat for most of the afternoon. It's Ninny day tomorrow. Tea tonight is soup, pasta & choc pudding. What's another few pounds.
Happy Birthday to Miss Essex-girl & Rzl. Hope you both have happy days.
Moiliere Hope your nauseous will soon pass. Awful feeling that.
ruby sounds a good name for you.
Think I will go and cook tea now in case the power goes off again. Apparently in came on again at 2am this morning. Lucky it wasn't summer. Hope you all have a lovely day & <hugs> to those not well. ByeeeeeeeeeeeeeeDon't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia.0 -

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BARGAINRZL AND MISS ESSEX-GIRL.
DS has a taster day at his new school today, so doesn't need to be there until 9.30am, so he can have a lie-in. He's just so tired at the mo.
Plan this morning to critique more papers, oh joy:rolleyes: . Will go down the allotment later and pick some peas. Am so thrilled :j .
Lunch is left over curry, tea is the chicken I cooked yesterday with mexican rice and home grown salad.
Have a good day all.
