Thanks for all your good wishes for my new DGD. No name confirmed yet. There are 2 in the offing, one I like and one I don't like too much. Fingers crossed they make the right choiceGoing up to the hospital tonight to see her and I wouldn't be surprised if a new name crops up in the end!!!!
Off to work soon. Made some cakes over the weekend and now DGD is safely here I will take them in to work, I'm sure they will be demolished in no time lol.
Right, just got time to empty DW before gertting on my way. Have a good day everyone.

Hi there - just had a nice bath and have come back on here with a cuppa. I don't feel quite so sickly now - perhaps the bath helped! I'll still give breakfast a miss and have something for elevenses instead. I'm glad no-one else is here now, because I lecture everyone about how important breakfast is and I'd never live it down!
Catz - (((hugs))) to your DD.
Aussie - hope you are feeling better and that you get a good night's sleep.
Happy Birthday to RZL for tomorrow and have a good trip!
PenPen - congratulations to DS on his form prize.
Well, I'd better go - AVG has kicked in and it always slows my PC down (even though they say it doesn't!).
Will catch up later.
The sun is still shining here!

Morning
Sunny and windy here today, so looks like the WM will be getting used today. I think I will make a loaf in the BM - I stopped making my own when I started my diet, but think I will make some bread and see what happens to my weight.
My Remoska has arrived, and I have been looking through the recipe book. I got some chicken out of the freezer for dinner and had decided what to cook, but now, I may have to change that
Have to go to the Post Office to send an Ebay item, and I have had a question about sending something insured to Russia, so need to find out about that - anyone ever sent anything there
Lots to do, so had better make a start. Catch you all later xYou're only young once, but you can be immature forever0 -
Good morning :hello:
Well redruby is right, I'm off to Paris - but it's this morning, not tonight :j :j Thanks for the early birthday wishes - I think I will save them up and read them when I get home on Saturday so I can cherish my twenties for just that bit longerHappy birthday to Miss Essex-girl!
The trip to Paris is partly coincidental to my birthday. We (me and 2 girlfriends) did a similar trip last year to [strike]lech over a ridiculously attractive opera singer[/strike] go to a performance at the Opera-Bastille, and, well, [strike]he's back[/strike] we thought it would be nice to go to another show this yearand when we noticed that the final performance of the run happened to coincide with my birthday, well, it would have been rude not to
It also made it easier to justify the expense!
So: setting off in half an hour or so for St Pancras, champagne brunch on the train, shopping and dinner in Paris later, then Versailles and the opera tomorrow, then back on Saturday :j :j
Meanwhile, happy OS-ing and have a hug if you need one! Right, am still wrapped in a towel from the shower so must get dressed and be off...
Love Rzl xx :wave:Operation Get in Shape

Happy Birthday to Miss Essex girl and Bargain Rzl
I’m in last minute panic getting organised for the holiday. Everything is laid out in the living room and somehow I have to get it all into the car by this afternoon. It just looks like so much stuff! Every year we debate whether or not to fly and I always decide it makes more sense to drive because we can take so much more with us, but next year I might just listen to Mr Pink.
Anyway, my day will be folding and packing and more packing. Ds1 helped to get the roof box on the car and we only dropped it once.Lunch will be whatever I can find in the fridge, and then we’ll have a homemade pizza (out of the freezer) before we set off this afternoon. We catch the ferry at 5.30 and we’ll eat this evening somewhere in Scotland. We’re staying the night in Blackburn and then heading for Portsmouth tomorrow. I’m beginning to get excited now. :j The weather forecast for France is rubbish but hopefully we’ll still have fun.
See you all in a couple of weeks. :hello:
Take care,
Pink0
