Morning folks,
Have not read the thread for a few days so sorry for not knowing what is going on
RZL - Have a fantasic time in Paris, and a lovely birthday
hester - Glad your BIL is starting to sort himself out
I have been emailing courier companies about that cabinet I want on Ebay (in Lancashire), the cheapest so far is £98. I do not mind paying the money but knowin my luck i will get it and then another one will come up thats 5 minutes down the road! I just don't know whether to wait or not - thing is, this one has 3 doors which I've never seen before, so it could be a real rarity.
Good news - I am currently employed on a temporary to permanent basis (3 month trial), but yesterday my boss said they are cutting my trial short and taking me on full time :j So they just got to sort it out with the agency and it should be within the next couple of weeks
Anyway, I had better get my lunch ready for work, also want to sling some spag bol ingredients in the SC.
Have a good one :beer:We must all suffer one of two things: the pain of discipline or the pain of regret and disappointment0 -
Morning!
didn't finish reading yesterdays thread as I was working late.
Happy Birthday Miss Essex girl:bdaycake: RZL happy Birthday for tomorrow - you share it with my DS2 who will be 16!
Catowen and Mrs_Mix :hello: :hello:
(((hugs))) to those in need of one
Off to do Mums cleaning this morning then another cleaning job this afternoon, will have a drop in income next month of £170 a month so will be tightening our belts a bit so all extra income is welcome!
Am also in the process of doing a spring clean of the house in preparation for when I have my hysterectomy - not got a date yet:rolleyes: but going back to see her in just over 3 weeks so should get some answers then.
Have a great day all!Do what you love :happyhear0 -
Essex girl's DD - happy birthday to her
Dogrose - good luck for DS' theory test!
Kathy - hope you feel better soon
Rzl - happy birthday for tomorrow and have a fab trip
I think I must be in one of the few places in the country so far where there is blue skies and sunshine, though I am sure that can change.
Yesterday was an up and down day. I was shattered all day and so I hardly did any tidying, and I need to have finished my room and packed for my holiday by tomorrow!!!!!!!!
My interview was alright, so fingers crossed I get that, but I won't know for a while as away next week. Hopefully going to see friend on a course who I've seen about 4 times in 4 years, but have to get a CRB check done and worried that it won't get done in time. I find everything easy to worry about
But at least I'm home alone for a few hours and can potter about.0 -
Just popped back to say Happy Birthday Rzl and have a fantastic time in Paris have a few - .
Many Thanks for the Birthday wishes for DD - she loves all her pressies, at the moment is playing Hannah Montanna on the Wii - must say I am not enjoying it as much so think I will start hovering in a minute :rotfl:
Pink - have a great holiday - hope you get the packing done asap, I hate packing so much - it was ok before I had children, now its even worse with DD & all her toiletries, must be much easier with just boys. DS wouldnt care if I forgot his flannel and soap - probably wouldnt notice for a few days.0 -
:hello:
Mornin and what a carp mornin it is too....will it ever get any better .....its persisting down at the moment.
The WM has just finished so I will go hang it out in a mo, no I`ve not lost my senses, a good few years ago(about 15) OH put a sort of pergola up over the patio so I could grow climbers over it, but being at work at the time I was so  coming home to soaking washing every time it rained, and he got so fed up of me moaning:o he put some clear plastic sheets over it, and a line on an up and down pulley, its the best thing ever. It means whatever the weather, out it goes, the lines pull right up to the roof when enpty and I still have climbers up the sides and front, and pots and table and chairs out there too so one happy bunny here:rotfl:
Going to read back now see you all later
Anne

Morning all,
I’ve just spent 5 minutes wondering where the thread for Friday was….. d’oh!!!!!! That’ll teach me for coming home after midnight J
Congratulations Nanny Chrisca!!! Can’t wait to see pics & find out her name.
Happy Birthday to Bargain Rzl (in Paris), and also Miss Essex-Girl. Good luck master dogrose on the theory test!!!
Mioliere, hope you feel a bit less queasy later. Sit & put your feet up for a little while (if you can!). And you Aussie too. Hester, sounds like BIL has improved slightly, at least he has some appointments set up now. Catznine, am sure your DD will feel better staying with mum J, that in itself is a comfort.
PenPen, I became a school governor recently so feel a bit less like a pupil going back….
Pink, have a fabulous holiday – and also anyone else who is imminently going away too. Blairweech, that’s good news about the job. What are you going to do about the cabinet? £98 seems a huge amount of money for the courier – how much is the cabinet itself? Do you really need it now, or can you wait to see if another comes up closer to home? Or do you really really really want it NOW?! J
Taplady, I had a hysterectomy 6 years ago (at the age of 33), didn’t have a choice in the matter but have felt so much better since & the freedom is fabulous.
Dishwasher engineer here trying to fix the door which suddenly decided it didn’t want to shut any more (all of 4 months old!!) so hopefully can clear the pile of dirty plates later. I can hear him muttering to himself out in the kitchen…. EDIT: apparently some bracket & pipe at the back inside have come loose so I now have to wait for a new DW. He's fixed it enough that I can get the dirty stuff washed for now though
Was going to meet a friend up in Lingfield at a craft shop we both like today, but she isn’t well so going next Thursday instead. So today I will just potter at home & type my letters for the office.
Also going to text Mr Nearly New Boyfriend shortly as I think today is the “big move” when his ex & the boys go to Hampshire.

Morning All
((Hugs)) to everyone who needs one.
Congrats to Chrisca
Blairwitch is it the cabinet in Liverpool? If so I'd go for it it looks like a really good one.
DD is at nursery this morning so I'm supposed to be getting on with the house work. Later on I'm taking DD and my dad out for lunch later so I won't have to cook later on. I'm abit worried about my poor dad as hes just had the first of two knee replacement and it looks like his work will make him redundent. Hes done the same job for 30 years and hes scared that he won't get another job hes really down.
anyway enough of my moans
have a good day everyoneSorting my life out one day at a time0 -
((jayward)))
I hope the medication helps.
Hester
You are a star! Please look after yourself.
DD(22) phoned this morning and she is going to come to see us at the weekend!!!:j :j I have really missed her! Trying to keep it secret from her sisters to give them a surprise.
She has an interview next week for a job which is a pay scale up and nearer to using her studies, but the best bit is that it is in Manchester- only about an hour away instead of over four hours!!
Crossing everything I can think of that she gets it!
Milk loaf I made last night turned out well and more of the lentil pate has disappeared.
Might go get some eggs from the market later this morning and some salad, even try to make my own houmous if I feel inspired!
Hugs to everyone, going to put the dishwasher on and clear the kitchen."This site is addictive!"
Wooligan 2 squares for smoky - 3 squares for HTA

Good morning.
Well the rain has stopped, it's blue skies and sunshine:j
Crisca, many congrats on the birth of your DGD:T Photos would be good;)
Happy Birthday to Miss Essexgirl:bdaycake: (who thought a visit to the orthodontist would make a nice treat?:rotfl: ) Hope she has a lovely day.
Pink, have a lovely holiday, and don't worry about DD. Auntie Haribo, (even from across the water) will terrify her into submission:rotfl: And I know just what you mean about putting the bins out. We used to tape a big notice to the front door (inside of course  ) saying, have you got your keys? are the windows and doors shut? PUT BINS OUT!!! Water my hanging baskets and pots. Seemed to do the trick, although apparently it was embarrassing when their friends commented:rotfl: I don't envy you all that driving:eek:
Rzl, enjoy your trip. Will save my birthday wishes for tomorrow.
Aussie, hope you manage to sleep tonight, and that the throat gets better soon. You need to keep your strength up for Ninny day;) I'm having my Ninny day tomorrow too:D
mrs mix, hope you're feeling better too:D
mioliere, hope the nauseous feeling goes soon, and try to eat something. ( time to confess I never eat breakfast, well except when in an hotel!! Then the first day I manage the full works, gradually dwindling to nothing by the end of the holiday:o )
taplady, that's some drop per month:eek: Good luck with working round that!!
PenPen you're not alone re the school thing. I used to walk through the door and feel I had to watch my every word and action. When I picked DGS1 up from school a couple of weeks ago, I felt myself shrinking under the gaze of his teacher:rotfl:
Not sure what I'm doing today. Quite fancy some garden work, I'll have to see how soggy it is after all that rain yesterday. Like lots of us, I'm trying to use stuff from the freezer. Trouble is you get mince out, make a meal and by the time you've made the bolognaise sauce, chili or whatever, there's more to go back in the freezer:rotfl: Especially now there's just two of us, and I still cook for at least four:o I must put the BM on, we're down to the last crust. When we were at a garden centre last week I bought some lovely onion bread flour. Bit pricey, but makes the most wonderful tasting bread. Well I can't afford that all the time, so off to look at the Panny recipes to see if there's one in there.;)
Well I must stop rambling.
Have good days everyone,
CM xYou never get a second chance to make a first impression.0
