Cot....It's 24 hours untill the opening ceremony of the Olympics, hope this is sorted for you to watch the closing ceremony, obviously these people don't realise what it's like to be without a television i.e Mrs watching her soaps, kids missing Teletubbies and us missing our sport... if not resolved in a week I'll loan you one.....

If you had bothered to read the thread instead of letting your 'issues' with insurers cloud your judgement, you would have noticed that in post #18 the OP said that he was waiting for bank statements to prove ownership, and he only sent all the relevant paperwork to the insurer between late July and the 4th of August. This is hardly the insurer's fault is it? I hope you are more diligent when dealing with your clients' claims, although rumour has it that this may not always be the case.

    If you read post 19

Just thought I'd update this one, got all the paperwork together sent it off to L&G registered post and it took them a week and a half to get back to me to tell me they have instructed an engineer to collect the TV to inspect it but this can't be done until next Tuesday??? thats another week without the TV then, this means we have been without it for five weeks till now and god knows how long till we get it mended or replaced

Why did it take a week and half to send an engineer?? I suppose that's not the Insurers fault either

If you would like to PM me some facts ( rather then rumour) I would be glad to review.

Not sure why you couldn't let us know which Insurer you work for

I'm guessing that they don't have engineers available at the drop of a hat. It's also not clear whether the 'week and a half' is from the time the OP posted the documents or from when the documents were received. In any case 9 or maybe 10 days is hardly a serious delay, and certainly a much smaller delay than that caused by the lack of documents from the insured!

That won't be necessary. I'm sure you'll be very pleased to hear that your reputation certainly precedes you.

Because that is not relevant to this discussion or indeed any other discussion on the boards.

But you appear pre-occupied for whom I might or might not work for - that's also not relevent to this discussion or any other.

How am I 'preoccupied' with who you work for? Any evidence to back this extraordinary statement up?

Just read your postings - you can't keep on the thread and have to keep raising it. Do you really need me to list it all out for you??? Actually you probably do being a claims processor for an Insurer......

Lets start another thread to discuss this and hope cot gets his tv sorted out and makes an informed decision about the service he has received at renewal like a savvy moneysaver.

Where have I been 'preoccupied' with the issue of who you work for? Please link to any examples.

You, however, have raised the issue of my employer twice, here (post #59):

This 'discussion' is becoming not a little odd.
