I decided to just give them a ring, so ignore the above post.
Paid my line rental in advance which is going to save me £60+, works out to be around £10.66 per month in total, as opposed to £15.99.
The £8 phone thing was in my bundle price, so I thought my internet was £32, it wasn't.. it was £24 + the £8 XL phone which took it to £32.
So now I'm paying £34.60 a month effectively (£24 internet + 10.60 line rental).. and also my internet was upgraded to 100mb over the phone. Pretty happy with that.
I mentioned that I thought the upgrades weren't available for a few months yet, but she said that if you phone now you can get it done right away (may be dependent on your area, but mine was estimated at July-Aug).0 -
Current deal.
20MB Broadband (going to 50MB, but not til mid 2015)
TV XL
Phone L
Price £68 PM.
Just logged in and checked package. There is no mention of any loyalty reduction. Do you have to ring them and ask for this? I'd never heard of it until I saw this thread. Also, couldn't see any mention of paying for line rental up front. Again, is ringing them the only way to do this?0 -

There's info on the website, mate. I came across it in the phone bit, and there's a tab to save on line rental.
It only gives you a number to ring anyway, but still doing 150 then 5 then 3 you can sort that out there too, so no need to ring the number it gives.0 -

If you look on the VM website 50Mb BB, TV xl and phone L is £43.60 + £15.99 line rental = £59.59. Phone and tell them that you want the lower price and your broadband upgraded.0 -

Entirely depends on what boxes you have already, whether you are in minimum term and what box type you want to add.
If you can cancel and wait for the call back you'll get a better deal...0 -
I have been with virgin media for over 20 years first with Cabel Tel then NTL now virgin. I moved house and was looking for a better deal but when the installion came it was for a new customer I was just transferring my services over. I now have
