It will be interesting to know how you get on as we've had no call back at all. If still the case by next week I will call again to make sure they know exactly what we want, i.e. the same package as we have now which is the same as yours but with Sky Movies and no Tivo, for around £63.

As visidigi says make sure that you make it clear at the time of disconnecting (if you end up having to) what you are looking for so the retentions guys have something to work with. Like us, though, there just may not be any deals available at the moment. Good luck!!
  • Is that with sports too?

    Yes, we currently have:

XL TV, M Broadband (10mb), Talk Weekends local, V+ box plus Additional Vbox = £35
    Line Rental = £13.90
    Sky Sports & Movies = £29.50
    Total £78.40
  • Will aim for 55 then with TiVo. Not fussed about
    Movies

Up until Jan we had been on a 12 month retention deal paying £54.55 per month which was half price line rental (£5.99) and a £15.85 Loyalty Discount.

You could always go through the "Thinking of Leaving us" option and give VM 30 days notice to disconnect. You can cancel this at any time, like we did, and there's a chance you may get a call from the Outbounds Retention team who may offer you a good deal for what you want. We have not received any contact from VM since giving our disconnection notice 2 weeks ago so have no idea what deals they are/are not offering at the moment!

Yeah i went to the "leaving us option" but never gave any notice to disconnect.

They went adamant that that was the cheapest they could do me it for!

They also said that they are on the ball with other companies who will offer the same kinda deals/prices. (which i thought of course you would say that).

Don't think that price includes TiVo because

I've had tivo a couple of months and the ONLY thing I prefer over the V+ is the additional space - as a box itself I hate it, the remote is stupidly shaped and constantly falls on the floor when you put it down. The screens are slow and inconsistent - the left and right navigation is cumbersome and quite frankly I can't understand why they think they can charge a fee for the box - we still have our V+ upstairs, if I could get one with a bigger HDD then I would have gone for it 30 times over compared to this Tivo (I got the 1TB and I am yet to go over 20% :D )

Just phoned up to cancel. Assume getting a date and letter is normal.

Well let's see if they offer me anything or it's back to sky.

Still have to old dish attached to the house so will make swapping over easy
