Has anyone any experience of adding TV to a retentions deal half way through please? You are not in as strong a position as you cannot cancel, so wondered what they may offer (currently have L BB and XL Phone for around £20 - it has gone up twice already since we signed up to another contract!). Ideally looking to add XL TV, V+, V HD in other room (or stay with Sky for TV if they come up with a half price deal again when the contract is up, but we are missing on demand and the Tivo looks interesting!).
Many thanks

I beleive if you add a service you qualify for the 6 months half price - bear in mind its core price is half price, not premium channels etc.
So if you upgraded you could expect to get the offers they currently show on virginmedia.com0 -
just cancelled today, now i have the wait to see if i get a call from them offering a better deal,
only want the same as i have now broadband and phoneline (which i dont use) started at £16.50 a month, last bill was £19.51, want to pay about same, they are offering that for £30 so i cancelled0 -
Just signed up for another year as a national customer, they give me 24/7 free calls, and broadband and only charge me £12 per month, I couldn't go through the grief of changing anyway!0

I've missed calls from the retentions team every single week day for the last two weeks since puttin my 30 days notice in.
I eventually called last night and asked the customer service to note my mobile number if the guys want to talk to me as I an not home in the middle of the day.
Does anyone have any experience of them calling mobiles or will they just persist with the home phone?
The customer service rep said it was unlikely they would even try again, but that's what I was told when I put my notice in initially and they called every day so i'm not too worried about that!
Thanks0 -
they took my number (mobile) when i cancelled, its a waiting game now!0

The last thing the customer service rep done when I put my 30 days notice in was confirm my email address and take my mobile number - which I assumed would be used for retentions to contact me.
However as I said, I have missed calls from them literally every day and unfortunately they have all been on my home phone number during the day when I'm at work.
I don't want to call and ask to speak to retentions as it weakens my position so hopefully they will make use of the mobile number at some point!0 -
youre lucky if theyve been ringing you every day. I had one call 2 days after I cancelled, telling me there were no deals on the table. That was two weeks ago, and not a peep since, nor do I expect any now
I hope you have more luck Craig x
