    Hello!

I've not posted for a few days but have been reading, I've skimmed some, here's what I remember....
((((HUGS)))) Twink and Kyle, and Pen-Pin sorry you're not feeling too good
Anniestar glad the visit to the vets was positive
Kaat Lady sorry you hurt your leg
Hester what an awful time for all of you, take care of yourself
Essex-Girl glad you found your cat, I worried when mine was only out for the afternoon! (my excuse being it was a stormy day and he usually sleeps the afternoon away indoors)
RedRuby & Pollyanna I love corned beef hash, I guess it's something you like or you don't, for me it's easy comfort food
Pippad lovely to see the photo of beautiful Joshua (oh i hope i remembered the name right!)
Sunnyday - that sounds like a lovely mix of flavours, i'll have to try it
Catowen - hope your DD is enjoying her trip and that you're OK

I know I've forgotten loads so apologies to everyone else but here's some ((((HUGS))))

Hello to fellow Remoska fans!! I got mine about a month ago, I've fancied one for a while and the Remoska thread on here helped me make up my mind. My grandma had one and loved it, she said it made great cakes and that is a compliment from her! I paid for mine out of some money I got after she died so I thought it was a fitting tribute and will remind me of her. So far I've not used it as much as I would have liked, partly because I've been too busy to devote time to it, partly because I do a fair amount of cooking using the hob. But I have made some lovely moist cakes (although tbh they are quite moist cakes anyway, i need to test it on a slightly drier mix). I can also recommend doing a pasta bake in it - I don't normally bother with pasta bake, but I had the best tuna pasta bake ever the other day from it - I think because it keeps the moisture in, so doesn't dry out like it would in an oven.

I got home today greeted by a lovely smell of lamb (we didn't have any lamb this morning so it was a surprise) - OH has been to Donny market today with work and bought half a lamb!! Apparently there are 4 shoulder joints, neck and front legs in the freezer, and the smell was from the rib bones making stock! He's done it all by himself, no tips from here, he's a good un! It all cost £17 - I thought that sounded like a lot but apparently it was 2.50 a lb (i think that's what he said anyway).

Then I asked what was for tea - he said pizza!! He wasn't joking!!:rotfl:

I'll stop now as this is a very large post. Have a good evening/night everyone!!

Dazi - I am really not techincal but have you tried a system restore?

Pollyanna - when I went looking for Sooty (our cat) I could hear faint crying coming from next door so I jumped on our neighbours as soon as they got in. She used to go in peoples sheds/garages/cars a lot but hasnt done it for ages. She sometimes climbs in the back of OH's van and jumps up when he is 5 minutes up the road, he now knows to check the back first.

NickiM - library assistant would be my perfect job - unfortunately they dont seem to be advertised around here.

Anniestar - glad you liked the new vet, sometimes in life you do get what you pay for hope they get to the bottom of it.

Went to sons sports day got half way though and was raine off - was torrential luckily I had my umbrella but loads of other parents didnt.

Have got some paperwork done but not as much as I would like, am out all day tomorrow so wont be able to catch up then, never mind, it will still be here next week. Had sausages for tea - cheap, easy and cheerfull. I would love to have corned beef hash but I am the only person in the house who likes it.

Think will be off now and have an early night.

    Good evening all :hello:

    (((hester)))

(((anniestar)))) and lovely cat cuddles to Phoebe

    smokeybabe

(((hugs))) to all those that are in need. x

Just popped on very quickly to say that I'm still here! It's the end of day 1 of our "monitoring visit" from the lovely Ofsted. I got observed today just 5 mins into my first lesson. Luckily, the inspector said that it was ok which I was so relieved about. I'd been a jibbering wreck at the beginning of the day and hadn't had much sleep last night, so an ok was positively gushing. I nearly hugged the inspector (but not quite!).

I've tweaked my plans for tomorrow, just in case they come visiting again. Hopefully they're even better than they were before I tweaked them.... and let's hope that it goes ok. Fingers crossed.

I've also got a bottle of wine chilling in the fridge ready for tomorrow night..... I won't have all of it tomorrow, as it's a "school night" but I will ensure that some of it gets drunk.

Right, I'll love you and leave you. See you all tomorrow.

Have just posted on there Kaat, am hoping they can sort me out ....think I'm more annoyed than anything as can usually work out whats wrong, its not been right for over a week, hmmmmmm .....wonders if its anything to do with OH's daughter being on it then:confused: she is a bit 'trigger happy' and will click ok to anything, we have had probs before on this pc, due to that, but have been able to sort them out, but as I said, this one is beyond me

Think I am most upset as the 'lappy' is mine, all mine lol whereas the pc is anyones, I only let her use it as she said pc kept dropping internet connection, well, I have been on here for the last two days and its been fine....thinks it may have to do with the fact lappy has got webcam! the pc is in her room and noooooooo way am I letting her have webcam, (have seen convs she has on msn, albeit over her shoulder when I am NOT really looking)

Soooo just waiting for those nice techie guys to help me :D

EssexGirl - it will only let me restore to earlier today - after it went wrong, so think something is 'eating' away at it. Agree with you Nikki's library assistant would be my perfect job too, but guess they couldn't employ someone who pinched all the latest books and sat and read all day :rotfl: There seem to be loads of different assistants at our library, never the same one on, so maybe I could hope?

Vicky - glad today went ok - enjoy a glass of wine and I hope all goes well tomorrow for you
whoever said laughter was the best medicine has clearly never tasted wine

    Stopped smoking 20:30 28/09/11 :D

Thanks. :) The Literacy consultant for the LA told me that they'd look pretty silly sitting on the toilet. :rotfl: :rotfl:

I don't think we're off with next week's strike. I can't remember which union our support staff are in. My TA is going to be losing so much money per year with this reassessment. She's a complete angel - well, she puts up with me admirably! :D Realigning my foot........

Sunnyday, thank you for the recipe - I think it sounds like it will be scrummy :)
Anniestar, glad to hear you & Phoebe have had a much more positive experience too.
Smokey, lovely to hear from you. Just keep swimming.....
VickyA, glad to hear Ofsted is so far, so good too - hopefully you'll sleep well tonight.
Was very lazy & picked up a (reduced) cooked chicken in Sainsbury's for dinner earlier, as I had to go out to get youngest DD, and oldest is off out with her friends, so she can have some with coleslaw & bread when she comes in if she's peckish.

Time for a cuppa & then a wallow in the new bath I think - Annie, I'll get round to posting pics prob Fri or Sat - bit non-stop until that point! But if I get a chance before I will :)

Not really keeping up again as busy at work and I can't post from there.

Just want to say Josh and his sister are beautiful.

I am sweating buckets tonight as HRT has been stopped. Decided not to take things like Prozac etc - not the answer. Maybe St John's Wart?

HH - oh my goodness. Hope all OK with BIL. Love and hugs to everyone!

I believe that's the "natural" alternative. Probably best to go to talk to your doc about it?

I'm not sure what the services are like in your area, but I found the biggest help was going to see a therapist where I could just unburden on her. To be honest, it was great going to see someone who didn't know me and wasn't (I felt) judgemental in anyway.
