Afternoon all, had a fun day at the school – all the year 9’s were put into teams of 8 & had to be small businesses. There were buyers & suppliers (some of the year 10’s) & I was a bank manager. Really good & the kids got well into it.
Anniestar, I’ll take some pics & have a go at posting – I know I’ve managed it once before, just need to refresh my memory!!! I hope you manage to get on better with the new vet & find out what’s wrong with Phoebe. Edit: just noticed it’s 4.10 now & you will be there – ((hugs))) for you.
Sunnyday, I’d love the marinade as all my DD’s like pork (and chicken), so sounds ideal.
Betheebee, have a great holiday; Jayward and MeanMarie, welcome back.
MrsMix, hope the doctor gets you sorted. KaatLady, glad you are feeling a bit better today as well.
Pooky, sorry about DH’s interview, but good news on the ebay stuff. I need to organise myself as I’ve got LOADS I could put on there.
Stefjb, I agree about the uniform too – am trying to raise the issue at my DD’s school as I have become a parent governor. Especially when they want me to pay £12 for a white polo shirt just because it has the school logo embroidered on it, but is worn under an (expensive) school sweatshirt!! If they supplied a fabric badge with the logo on I could sew it onto a cheap white polo top instead.
Pollyanna, I know what you mean – I had a bit of a sleepless night for some reason worrying about money - but I have my budget etc, so didn’t need to. Think it’s just because it’s in the news so much it plays on our minds.
Also, welcome to the newbies J Apologies to those I haven’t mentioned, just going through at speed so not intentional!!
Oh, and I love corned beef hash type stuff – although I do a slightly different thing. I bake either potato wedges or those crispy potato squares (or oven chips if I haven’t got them). Then when cooked & crispy, add a couple of tins of beans & 1-2 tins corned beef diced up – give a quick stir together, then top with loads of grated cheese & bung back in oven for 10-15 mins. Hi all
AnnieS - good luck with Phoebe at the new vet's.
Pooky - sorry about DH's interview; better luck with the next one.
Well, the weather has stayed nice and bright but the forecast for tomorrow is horrendous. I do hope they've got it wrong!
I have done some more paperwork and then sat down and watched the rest of the The Joy Luck Club that I had recorded and the ending made me cry. Now I've got mascara smudges so I hope no-one knocks the door.
Well, on with the paperwork, I suppose!
See you all later.

Hi everyone
(((hugs))) for the poorlies, worrieds and stressed and anyone else who would like one.
Still on the big pc, so you are all still largenearly finished the tapes I am putting on dvd but now have problems with my laptop  looked on the techie forum and it looks like its infected with something, even though I have got upto date anti virus, so have switched the internet off it and am doing another scan.
Not really done anything else, had washing done but its still sitting in the machine as I kept thinking its going to rain....it hasn't so I could have put it out.
I ordered that Artisan bread book from Amazon today, tried to get it from library but they didn't have it. As usual it came up with spend another ££££ and get free postage. So I did. Have ordered a book for DGD, I know shes a bit young yet, but its never too early to read to them. Have ordered 'each peach, pear, plum' my 2 loved it . Can remember coming across my son one night 'reading' it to himself, when he came across the pic with robin hood, he said I spy er... er... er... the hunting man :rotfl: bless him.
DD, SIL and baby visited my parents yesterday, parents loved seeing the baby. My dad took a lovely photo and sent it me.
Tomorrow I am going to get things done, honest. When I was working I seemed to whizz through things, since I've been at home  I just don't seem to have the same energy. Anyone know how I can motivate myself?
Enough whaffling, must look in fridge/freezer for food, only me again tonight so something easy.

ANNIESTAR HOPE YOUR CAT IS OK.
Have made soup for tea out of some chicken stock I found in the freezer, just bunged some onion, garlic, carrots and lentils in it. Will have it with some garlic bread, then it's HM lemon and raisin pancakes for pud.
Have a good evening all.

I take it a wash accident with white shirts and a red sock wouldn't do it?:rotfl: You do have to wonder at the motives of having a uniform that can only be purchased from the school, and no second hand shop:rolleyes: (If it wasn't child cruelty, I'd suggest stapling her uniform on each morning. Much less chance of losing it;) )
Mr Sharingcaring is, as ever, skint - bless him - and yes my eldest and meanest did remind me that most of her shirts were pink due to a red knicker incident so it might be worth a try. i am also not opposed to stapling.
On the subject of mr sharingcaring he is apparantly coming round tonight. I am the last to know of course so will try to make tea early so he can't have any - mwaahaahaahaaI'm going to feed our children non-organic food and with the money saved take them to the zoo - half man half biscuit 20080 -
Hello all,
Sorry I have not read the thread yet, so don't know whats gong on.
Having a rubbish day today, feel really down. At least I got to go home from work early (I think my boss knows when I am feeling sad)
Don't know whether to get on with the housework, do compy stuff (Ebay etc), go to sleep or go out for a walk (it might rain).
Hope you all had good days :beer:We must all suffer one of two things: the pain of discipline or the pain of regret and disappointment0 -
Evening Guys!
Havent done too much today as I feel shattered.....but I did list 42 DVD's on Turbolister and took only 30mins...record:D
The nurse came in to give me my shot this morning and to take bloods etc. She had a few problems getting a vein but we finally got there after 3 attempts:eek:
