    Morning all,

Dry here - for now. Am sure it won't be long before that changes..! So much for summer :(

PippaD, it's sooo exciting getting a new car :) And your kids are very cute too.
Mioliere, my life also seems to be spent constantly sorting paperwork (and having bonfires to burn it every now & then). I'm fairly good at not keeping useless bits, but got rid of even more than I would usually last week.
Sunnyday, glad your doggy's paw is healing up now :) Oriental pork & noodles sounds scrummy - do you make your own marinade?
Hester, hope things brighten up for you (well, your BIL) soon. It must be a real strain for everyone (don't mean in that he must be a strain, just that the situation must be very mentally exhausting as you can't be getting much rest).

Moved all my furniture/stuff back into my room yesterday, it looks lovely with the new carpet/curtains etc. Very different from the lavender cocoon.
Today I am at school :) Got roped into (though am looking forwards to as well) participating in an Enterprise Day - not quite sure what it involves but sounds like it's going to be interesting. First time they've done it too. Personally I think they should incorporate some sessions into school using Martin's "Teen Cash Class Guide" and do some practical things to get the kids to understand money....

Might do burgers in buns for dinner tonight - got 2 packs of 4 "extra special" ones in Asda last week for £3 (or £1.89 each!). Decided that was quite good value as opposed to making my own for a change. Just need to pick up some buns later.

I keep resolving to pay for the food shopping from the maintenance money the kids' father brings each week (now I'm getting restarted my meal planning) but he has started not bringing all of it, and not paying for things he has promised them (ie end of year trip to Alton Towers for one, prom stuff for another) and I have to unexpectedly keep finding more & more to compensate. They're not the sort of things I can turn round to kids & say "tough" on either :( Makes it very difficult with the budgeting.

Anyway, I too can go & have a shower now that my builder connected it back up yesterday morning & I have lovely new tiling so the water won't seep behind & down walls to downstairs... :)

Have a good day all, ((((((hugs)))))) to ALL those needing them, feeling down or troubled, and hope those feeling poorly don't have too bad a day.

(Edit: Goodness, that was a post to rival Mioliere's.....!)

    Morning all,

Not raining here at the moment, but more forcast for later  . I made corned beef hash for tea last night, and did not like it, don't know what I was expecting, but it was just mush, dd and I did not like it, OH and little dog loved it, so the dog will be having the leftovers tonight ( see not wasted Gordon Brown :p )

OH bought me home some wooden crates which I have had my eye on, ( they were at his work), which will make excellent raised veggie beds, so spent last night planning what I can plant at this time of the year. They need painting and lining with plastic, so might do that today :T .

Hugs to Smoky, pen pin, jayward, beth, candygirl, anniestar, and all others in need.

Hester, sounds really stressfull at your house at the moment, take care of you xx

Pie mash and veg for tea, pie is made already, so thats easy.

    Have good days all xx

    Morning all,
This will be my last post for a week as we are off to France. Have to leave for the airport at 10am. Won't miss this dismal weather. DF's invited us over for drinks/nibbles at 6pm last night, got home at 12.20am, didn't have any dinner so will put it in freezer.

DD1 spent the day with me y/day, had a lovely time, she is very clingy at the mo, so had lots of hugs and snuggles.

Have made the rolls for our trip, changed bedding so we come back to crispy clean sheets. Fridge emtied and cleaned with bi-carb.

Haven't caught up on Monday's thread so ((((((((( hugs))))))))))) to all in need.

Smokie, Penpin, Mrs. Mix, Annie, Candy Girl & DDad, jayward and those who I have missed out xx

HESTER, hope things ease up for you, you can do without the stress.x

    Morning

Rained all last night and all morning here. It's stopped now but absolutely freezing. I have my bumble bee :D thermal top on underneath my jumper. I babysat DGS today from 10.30 - 2.30pm. It had stopped raining so I raced over to the library on the island as I had books to return and new ones to get out. The library lady told me the new shopping centre opens on the 21st. Not long to go.

DGS helped me make some sweet potato & carrot soup which is really tasty. Much nicer than Lettuce Soup. :D Will make a few more batches and freeze.

Pippad What bonny children you have. Congratulations.
Charlies Mum Moan away. We are all use to it by now you know. :D
Beth Have a great time in France.

Hope you all have a great day & <hugs> to those who need them. Byeeeeeeeeeeee
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia. ;)

Good morning Old Stylers  Off running again, shortly, then back for a slice of fresh spiced fruit loaf ;) For anyone who's interested, my R4L pic is here - I'm soaked, but clearly optimistic (sunglasses ready on my head  ).

Thai chicken curry for tea, leftovers from the freezer for lunch ;)

    Beth - have a lovely holiday :T

Aussie - thanks for the lettuce soup recipe :T Don't think I'll be rushing to make it though :o:p

    Hester - (((((hugs)))))

Have a good day, everyone, Penny. x

    :hello:
    Mornin everybody,
(((((((((HUGS))))))))) to anyone who feels the need today

Pippad yes there are a few of us now are`nt there? Your children are lovely, Jessica what a nice name.

charlies_mum it sounds like the weather is being kind to you today, its dull and miserable here. But then you never know, it might cheer up later

Hester O be careful you will make yourself ill, you really need some kind of help.

Yes it is a short post for you mioliere  ;)

redruby very OS of you, dinner in the dog :rotfl:

    Have a lovely holiday Beth

It`s over to mom`s today with her shopping which is filling the top of my freezer and fridge at the mo, then do her cleaning which is`nt too bad as it`s a flat and she is a very tidy little bod, except when it comes to paperwork, ooo I hate doing that, I thought when I finished work that would be the end of it....wrong.....never mind it has to be done (I can see mioliere nodding her head, yes where does it all come from);)

We are off out to some friends tonight so dinner will be something not too filling, as she puts nibbles out, and I nibble a bit....well more than a bit.....
well you have to don`t you, it`s only polite, and besides the wine has that effect, nibble, chat, sip

    Back later
