Hi Guys!
I'm not in hospital this week...just visits but am in next week for hopefully my last lot of therapy:j ...then we are off on hols Saturday for a week in West Sussex.
Today we have been out for a drive and popped to the 99p store to get a few items we needed. Ended up spending £18, but got DD 5 x Lindt heart posh tins with choccies in for a dinner party she is having through the holiday. Only for 6 inc DD but she has devised her own menu and I have started buying a couple of things a week. She wants it super posh:rolleyes:
OH did a lovely dinner of Fish, mash, carrots and cabbage and he is just making some American Aunt Jemima pancakes with Aunt Jemima butter syrup that we get shipped in from friends in the USA:o ...yummy!!
My helper was here this morning and helped with alot of different things.
DW has been on and emptied and no WM on today as not wnough washing.
Anyway, OH has just handed me my pancakes, so better go.
Love and hugs to all.

I get migraines fairly often, not as much as I used to, one of the few benefits of getting older apparently! My daughter bought me a roll of cloth stuffed with oats that you heat up in the microwave for a couple of minutes and put on any affected parts!! that you want to sooth, works a treat for a stiff neck for my migraines, so would probably work for a cricked one as well
Awwwww Thanks Lesley, I do have one of those and it works brilliantly, I do get a stiff neck very often, but as you said it does seem to be getting less and less the older I getthank you xx
Pen Pin, where abouts are you going in west sussex, thats where I am xx0 -
Oh, Elona - that's typical, isn't it? Caught in the act! Oh, well, at least you didn't have to tell him it cost loads - hope the bread turns out well!
Kaat - don't ignore the pain if you feel it's 'moving about'; might be worth a trip to the doctor.
Poppyoscar - my DH has just fitted a catflap in DS2's house into a cavity wall. The catflap has a little tunnel that goes through the cavity. The cat loves it! Here's a link http://www.staywell.co.uk/pages/series.php?SeriesID=3
Essex-girl - so glad your cat is back home, safe and well.
Bargain - glad you had a good time.
PenPin - DD's posh party sounds like great fun; please let us know how it goes. (((Hugs))) to you.
Well, despite really good intentions I have completely lazed about all afternoon! I just could not get motivated. Perhaps it's the weather - it has been hammering down for hours now but the good news is that the weatherproofing that DH did to our front porch has worked and no rain has got in. So, there is an upside! I do feel thoroughly ashamed of myself for being so lazy especially as I've also had a lazy weekend away! I have just made a list of things I must get done tomorrow and will just have to force myself to do them!
Anyway, off to sample the lamb fillets, potatoes and carrots that are cookikng in the Remoska! See you all later.

Well good newd - out cat is home :j :j she got locked in the neighbours shed yesterday and they just got home from work, stupid thing - thank you for all your well wishes . The kids will be pleased when they get in. Think they will be soaking though - just had a massive rain shower with some thunder.
x
Phew, I'm glad to hear your cat is back. At the weekend, my friends dad thought his new cat and gone and wasn't coming back. He thought he'd let it out too early and was maybe on his way back to his old home. Anyway, he did come back later that day, thankfully.
Kaat lady, sorry to hear of your accident. I hope the pain eases very soon.0 -
Good evening:D
Had a good day, not the least bit OS, haven't done a single chore. The car was booked in for a service, so we dropped it off and took the train up to London. Managed to miss the showers, and went to what seemed like every bookshop in Charing Cross Road;) Had a browse round Covent Garden, just wish I could remember that Monday is probably the worst day to go, since I'm not much into over-priced *antiques*. We had lunch in the Wetherspoons where we had our last mini-meet. Vicky, Shez, Rzl, stefe, and Viv it was much less crowded than when we were there, but DH and i had to sit at *our* table. I made sure he appreciated the honour bestowed upon him.:rotfl: After that we browsed round the National Gallery for a couple of hours. My feet ache a bit, but it made a nice change. I suppose I could go mad and load the washing machine in a minute. As it will have to dry on airers, it won't matter it's so late.
pippad (hope I've remembered the right one:D ) Joshua is gorgeous, as is his big sister. Can't think of a nicer distraction.
anniestar, (((hugs))))to you and DH. I think the donation to the hospice is a lovely, generous idea.
Pink-winged, glad you enjoyed your anniversary outing. Lovely to be just the two of you;)DH's tea sounds great. Very inventive:T
Best get off, DH only thinks he should eat again this evening:rolleyes: It will be something that can be bunged in the oven to cook itself:cool:You never get a second chance to make a first impression.0 -
Evening all
Hugs to all those in need, sorry, too much going on for me to remember anything.
Hubby had to get me home from work today as BIL is really bad, we managed to get hold of his doctor & trick cyclist, so things are gradually calming down.
I just wish there was someone else to take a turn, hubby doesn't cope well, MIL is over 70 so I don't want to worry her, the other 2 brothers don't want to know.
Hugs Hester

I am just reporting on the result of my first 'proper' meal in the Remoska - lamb neck fillets, potatoes, carrots and I even put some cauliflower in it. It was absolutely delicious - a true success. The lamb was cooked to perfection and beautifully tender. My new gadget will definitely not be joining George Forman in the cupboard!
Anyway, to round off my totally lazy day, I have had an early bath and I thought I might just as well finish the day off in the same way and laze around for the rest of the evening knitting and dozing. My list for things I WILL do tomorrow is blue-tacked onto the printer where I can't ignore it - I WILL tick off everything on it by dinner- time tomorrow.
The weather has been absolutely dreadful all afternoon and it's still hissing down now; at one stage the noise it made against the windows was quite scary. There can't be much more up there, surely. I do hope no-one is suffering flooding this time.
Oh, well, off to secure my place on the sofa.
Will catch up later.
