well pippad of all the excuses for going AWOL ......... that's a pretty gorgeous one - congratulations!
well we are just back form our camping trip. It was great fun actually despite the rain and dd's bedroom flooding. She did get to watch dr who as the site had a tv room but there were about 50 other kids there too so it wan't very peaceful - I did notice that she didn't tell any of them off for breathing too loudly.
Work just called to say that another tent has been delivered - beggar it - I cancelled this order last week as it wasn't going to get there on time and the tent we ended up with is much nicer. Will get on to them to pick it up if they ever answer their phone.
Back to reality and soem serious OSing as this has been an expensive month but first must wash the smoke smell out of my hair, wash all the sleeping bags and clothes and work out where to hang a big waterlogged tent from.
hugs all roundI'm going to feed our children non-organic food and with the money saved take them to the zoo - half man half biscuit 20080 -

DH left at 11 to go to a meeting and the BM arrived at 1.30.
Just as I was packing up the old BM and breathing a sigh of relief - DH walked in!!!!! - his meeting had been cancelled!
He noticed the package so he got the speech!!!!
"I have been wanting this for four years!"
"I have been making do with the MR for four years"
"I am sick of paying £1.30 for a loaf that is never really fresh every day!"
"It was on sale with free delivery!"
After this tirade he looked a bit dazed but asked how much it cost - when I told him it was £59.99 - he agreed that it was not a bad price.
I have a french loaf in the machine at the moment but did not realise you had to weigh the flour and not use a cup for it - DH has put my scales in storage so that was fun!!! I had to guess what 14 oz was.
Have just started sneezing and coughing so if the french loaf is a failure I will blame it on that!!!;)
Hugs to all"This site is addictive!"

Off on the school run in a bit, have had a really lazy day, cricked my neck this morning, and it really hurt, so have taken it easy, got my jobs done, but no unneccessary ones, had a long hot bath, which eased it off a bit, then just sat on sofa reading yesterday paper, I will do better tomorrow

Forgot that dd2 had a dance rehearsal tonight, darn! Now the little girl from down the road is driving me mad, moaning that her sis gets to do two dances and she only gets to do one - her sis and my dd2 are helping out the tinies cos there weren't enough of them! Apparently her mum is gonna ask if she can join in with the big ones - she's trying to persaude dd3 to go to, I don't think so, it's not a babysitting service! Besides the dance show is supposed to be a charity fund raiser in memory of the man who lived opposite us and got run over just before Christmas. Rant over!
DS has gone to visit the Eden Project today, shame that he'll only get two hours there though, as it's a three hour trip each way! Still he was looking forward to it more than a day at school, lol! Means I shall be late into work tonight as I have to collect him, which means I shall be very late home, pah!
Best go slice up the sausages so that my veg casserole becomes sausage casserole, dd1's favourite apparently, wasn't so very long ago she point blank refused to eat any casserole!

I get migraines fairly often, not as much as I used to, one of the few benefits of getting older apparently! My daughter bought me a roll of cloth stuffed with oats that you heat up in the microwave for a couple of minutes and put on any affected parts!! that you want to sooth, works a treat for a stiff neck for my migraines, so would probably work for a cricked one as well0 -

Poppyoscar – invest in a cat flap. I wouldn't be without one, she can do what she likes. All day yesterday, she was on stakeout in the kitchen looking under the fridge. Got a feeling she brought in a mouse, dropped it, and it quickly got out of her way.
I can't have one! Only glass doors and I think it would look awful - but in two weeks time I will have a shed and I'll put a flap into there, and then I won't hesitate to boot him out in the rain!!!!

Donny - Think i might give the dough hook a try, i`m looking forward to it.
I do use Hovis yeast in my panny but i`ve never tried the flour, the loaf i make most of is the 50% wholemeal with Morrisons white flour and the Doves wholemeal but now that i`ve run out of the Doves i bought Morrisons own wholemeal and it`s this that the panny dosen`t seem to like. Maybe i have a bag from a bad batch but it`s hardly rising and is so weird on top it looks almost serrated:eek: SD
I mix the Hovis Wholemeal with Lidl's/Asda's/Tesco's white bread flour, and use Allinson's dried yeast, I bought a big tub without realising how small an amount you use, so is at least 9 months old now - reading thread some seem to have problem with that yeast and it should be used up before now (hardly any used:eek: ) however, so far so good, and will keep going until I hit a problem.:o
