Hi everyone! Havent been on for a few days, hope everyone is well?

Well done to the Penguins on your raceforlife yesterday:T hope you got plenty of goody bags!;)

Saturday we went to the London City Airport FunDay, all this time i've lived here i've never been. Well it was soooo busy the queues for a bouncy castle etc were ridiculous! and the curtesy bus took ages to get home (I could have walked it quicker!) The air display was great though - but I could have watched that from the other side of the dock! so I will do that next year.

Yesterday me and DH had the day to ourselves (while kids were at nannys). We went to Madam Tussauds - it was great! had my pic with Justin Timberlake & John Travolta :D We took our vouchers to get our Merlin Passes with - we went straight in to the desk, got our passes done and straight in! No queing!:T Then we went to the London Dungeons, which was good too! - again, straight in no queing!! - I'm loving this VIP treatment!:j :rotfl: The dungeon is much bigger than when I last went donkeys years ago! I didn't expect to be in there that long! Plenty of people trying to scare you and they now have one of those sudden lift and drop rides!:rotfl: Apologies to Bargainrzl, we didn't have time to pop in to your birthday bbq, we had to get back for the kids!

Watched the tennis last nite - cant believe how long that went on for!!!

I've now got a mound of washing to do and I dont want to put the dryer on!
Got loads of housework to catch up on now before the kids have dance class later and I havent got a clue whats for dinner!:rotfl:

PS: just checked my email and I've been contacted by an old boyfriend!!!
havent seen him for 25 years!!! this should be interesting!

catowen - I'm sure your DD will be fine x
    have a good day allxx

    Afternoon peeps,

Essex Girl - any news about your kitty yet?

Mummysaver - our Asda had the doves organic wholemeal at 55p for months and i took full advantage. I`ve now used all of it up and the price has increased to £1.09 a bag:eek:

Donny - Think i might give the dough hook a try, i`m looking forward to it.
I do use Hovis yeast in my panny but i`ve never tried the flour, the loaf i make most of is the 50% wholemeal with Morrisons white flour and the Doves wholemeal but now that i`ve run out of the Doves i bought Morrisons own wholemeal and it`s this that the panny dosen`t seem to like. Maybe i have a bag from a bad batch but it`s hardly rising and is so weird on top it looks almost serrated:eek:

I`ve just relised that my car has missed it`s service:eek: this is going to take some organising as the garage is at the other side of town and both DH and i need to be off on the same day to get it done, this dosen`t happen very often so some careful planning is needed.
    Catch up later.
    ((((HUGS)))) for all in need.

Planning on starting the GC again soon :p

    Afternoon all :hello:

Haven't posted for the last couple of days. Had Part 1 of my 30th Birthday celebrations yesterday, as Shez mentioned. Trust me to plan a BBQ on an afternoon when it's chucking down with rain  Anyway a good time was had by all, the sun came out for quite a long time, and all my friends got on with each other. By early evening the few of us who were still there were watching the tennis, but the pub closes early on Sundays so after very generously letting us stay to the end of the 4th set we got chucked out and had to find another pub to watch the 5th set. We were all convinced it was going to end up at 25-23 or something ridiculous like that, and that they were going to end up playing in the dark because the umpire wouldn't be able to bring himself to give in to the poor light :D I was sort of backing Federer (cos he's better looking - how shallow am I? :o) but the time Nadal forced Federer's error, I didn't care who won, and I'm sure everybody was mainly cheering because SOMEBODY won and we could all go home :D

Got some lovely birthday pressies too, not opened most of them yet, as birthday isn't till Friday (most of them are either bottle-shaped or CD-shaped, which is a good sign that people know me quite well :D). Not sure when I WILL get to open them, as I'm going to be in Paris from Thursday till Saturday! Got to buy some Euros - the MSE foreign currency calculator tells me that it's best value from a place which I just happen to be passing later today - excellent!

OS-wise, not a lot's been happening - the flat looks like a full-on bombsite, and I'm a week out of date on my grocery challenge so I need to get that wrapped up this evening (under budget by about £5 :T) and declare my July budget. I've just made another overpayment on my mortgage too :j :j

catowen - I hope DD has a good time - bet she will ;)
Essex-girl - hope the cat turns up soon.

Right, got to go, loads to do at work...

    Love Rzl xx

Kaat Lady - ouch, hope your leg is okay and that you haven't done any permanent damage.

Bargain Rzl - glad that you had a lovely party, enjoy your birthday and your trip to Paris.

Sunnyday - seems like flour is prob mispriced in our Asda then, might quickly lay in some more stocks before they find out!

Well I enjoyed some of the veg casserole, just couldn't wait till dinner time! Also planned a weekend away to visit a friend, seems like a few other friends will be joining us too, so should be good, now got a couple of weeks for the weather to improve for us, and to save some extra pennies!

Pippad Joshua is a little stunner!
anniestar (((hugs))) to you. What a generous, selfless thing to do. I'm sure the hospice will appreciate your donation.
Kaat-lady Sounds very sore. Hope you haven't done too much damage to your leg.
Shez are you going to tell your OH?? ;):D
Snowy "Just have to get some "support" underwear to scoop myself into:rotfl::rotfl:". You really made me :rotfl: :rotfl: too!

I think Gordon Brown was talking to me when he said don't waste so much food. :o This morning I have had to throw out half a bag of salad, a punnet of cherry tomatoes, two nectarines and some pineapple. I do have an excuse though as DD was *very* poorly on Friday and hasn't fully recovered her appetite yet and I have been feeling off-colour too so my appetite hasn't been great either. It's all good for my diet though, if not my bank balance.

W**k was busy but productive today. I like days like that. Managed to do a little bit of overtime AND get to the supermarket before I have to do the school run so all in all, a good day so far.

Someone mentioned the 50p burgers in Morrisons (sorry, can't remember who :o ) . I bought some of them today but didn't stock up as I want to make sure DS and DD like them before I buy more. Was quite pleased with myself as my top-up shop was only £13. Boss and I were talking about shopping today and he reckons his family of four spend around £250 per month on food shopping and admitted it could be more. I feed three of us and my bill is nothing like that - thanks to all I have learned on OS, of course. :A

Need to go on the school run shortly but will see if I can get a couple of jobs done before I leave - if I can get off here, of course! :D
