    Morning all,

meanmarie welcome back and glad to hear you had a great time.
(((hugs))) to all who need them especially candygirl who sounds like she really needs one today. Hope you get something for September, candygirl.

Had the best sleep in ages last night so feeling much better today. I'm working every day this week, booo hissssss. :( I have to make up the day I took off on Friday as DD was poorly. So, I will need to make sure that I'm better organised as I won't have that precious day to get things done.

It struck me this morning that I will need to make sure I have enough medication when I go on holiday. So, one of my jobs today will be to phone the surgery and order some extra to make sure.

The holiday is getting ever closer and I'm beginning to really look forward to it. It will be lovely spending so much time with my DMum and DS and DD on a lovely wee (aussie, :naughty:) island. I think we all need the break too.

Well, the lunches won't make themselves. Have a marvellous Monday. xx

    Morning friends,
Welcome back Mioliere glad you had a good time, mised yah.
ESSEX, I hope you cat turns up. My DD2 has 3 and worries if they are missing for more than an hour.
CANDYGIRL, Hope you get your probs sorted out.

I haven't caught up on Sun thread yet. DD1 is coming for the day, she has a day off from Teaching in Bath, so looking forward to seeing her.
Must finish last bit of ironing and pack the cases. Soaked so more lentils last night for another batch of soup the last lot didn't stay in the pan long enough to cool down. BM on so I can make some rolls to have for the flight tomorrow. Save paying at the airport for carp food which is so expensive.
Have to empty fridge, not much in there but will give what there is to DD1.

Hope everyone had a good week-end.

    Hugs to all.x

    Good Morning All

Back from my weekend near La Manga. Had a had a really good time, but after lunch yesterday, spent most of the day cheering on(and drooling over) Nadal.

Up earlier, but been reading Saturday and Sunday's threads. (((hugs))) to all, but especially to Twink and Kyle for their bittersweet memories, Pen-Pin hope you went to the Indian, are you back in hospital today or do you have a weeks respite? Smokybabe it was nice to hear you sounding brighter, I hope you just write to the insurance company yourself, 35% is a rip off I am sure. Candygirl hope you find something for September.

Congrats Pen-Pen on WFL - I think you could probably add 3 hours to your time for me. Pen-Pin's DD and all other DD/DS's GDD/GDS's who have done well at school.

Well I am startingto think that the Government does not have a clue as to what to say next, so they have someone reading our pages, for what we seem to be doing, they seem to recommend to the nation - maybe Martin should take a cut.

Moiliere - glad you enjoyed your hen weekend, Meanmarie - pleased you enjoyed Oz.

Sunnyday - maybe we need to have a discussion when we meeting as I have a Panny and use Hovis Wholemeal flour and have not had a brick yet. Maybe you can try the Chef dough hook when you get it.

If you notice I have been very considerate and not mentioned the weather today:o , when you lot are obviously having a carp weather time. Only two weeks tomorrow when we need to set off for the ferry:eek:

    Morning

Back off our holidays, and we were really lucky with the weather, it seems to have reverted to normal cloudy now we are back.

Went down to the allotment yesterday, and picked some strawberries, gooseberries and raspberries and made a mixed fruit crumble, it was lovely, but not good for the diet :p

Back to listing on Ebay, and want to go to Matalan to see if they have any shirts in the half price sale.

I caved in and ordered a Remoska yesterday, so waiting for that to come (that's your fault Mioliere). Gammon steak in the slow cooker for dinner.

Gordon Brown is asking people not to waste food - has he been on here, we could teach him a thing or two ;)

Have a good day everyone x

Good morning, everyone! I wish it was a 'good' one! Wet, windy and very 'autumny' here today so washing will have to dried on the clothes horse, I suppose. Still, I'm glad to be back home - the weekend was great but there's nothing like your own bed, is there?!

As I've been AWOL, I'm sending lots of massive ((((((((hugs)))))))) to Smoky, PenPin, Beth and her DBs, Candygirl and her Dad, RedRuby's DD, Jayward, Mrs Mix and everyone who needs one.

    Churchmouse - :hello: :hello: :hello:

Thanks again for all the 'welcome backs'.

Well, DH has finished his job in the south of France and is now staying with his aunt and uncle in the southwest and, tomorrow, they start pouring concrete to make new floors in his other brother's house. Hopefully, it's a bit cooler there - they've been working in temperatures of 45C (36C in the shade) and, according to his aunt, DH has lost about a stone. He was 13 stone when he got there but, because he's 6' 4", he'll be looking quite skinny at 12st! She has started feeding him up and cooked him a lovely shepherd's pie when he and his uncle got back there last night! They're having a day off today which is good because I know they'll have worked really hard last week. I bought his some lovely Turkish Delight and Coconut Ice from a little hand made sweet shop in Devon so, as long as I can put them out of my mind, he'll have them to look foward to when he comes home. I daren't even open the bags and look at them because I'll eat them all!

Well, dinner is going to be lamb fillets and roast vegetables cooked in my new Remoska; it will be the first proper meal I've had a chance to cook in it so I hope it turns out well.

I'm going to try and get a lot done this morning and then have an afternoon working on the wedding favours; the last count is now 125 but, even if that changes, that will have to be the final number. I don't think everyone know what RSVP means and some people still haven't let us know if they are coming but time is getting short, the wedding is a month tomorrow (!) and we all need to know exactly what we're doing! When the bride wore the little veil that her friend made for her on our night out on Saturday, it brought a lump to my throat, so I'm going to need lots of tissues on the day itself!

Anyway, I'm 'mioliering' - that's it, folks, I'm definitely back!

I'll call back later. Have a good day, everyone, despite this miserable weather.

    Morning all

It's horrible wet and windy weather here, apparently will have to get used to it as it's in for the week according to the weather forecast  All I want is a little bit of warm sun to sit out in the garden with my book for an hour or so at the end of the day, not a lot to ask for July is it?

Got some new bedding to wash and iron today. Can see that ending up on the clothes horse. We are having a week off soon and will decorate our bedroom during that time. Looking forward to sprucing it up as it hasn't been done for quite a few years. Going for cream walls and the bedding and curtains will be in teal. I think it will be a nice combination, hope it looks good when its finished, makes a change from the lilac that we have had for the last umpteen years anyway.

Hope everyone keeps dry today - byeeeeeeee

DD has now been dry for 4 nights so were going to try without a nappy tonight. Its such a relief as her real nappies were getting tight and I was thinking I would have to by disposables.

Its my last week at work before being off for 2 weeks, can't wait I so need it had a real struggle getting up this morning.
