Freezing Sandwiches

Has anyone tried freezing sandwiches with ketchup in them? Every evening I make my OH the same sandwich (creature of habit, he never asks for anything different!): multiseed bread, ketchup, ham, cheese and lettuce. I know the lettuce wouldn't freeze, but would the rest be ok? I'd love it not to get to bedtime and then realise I haven't done the sandwiches yet!0

Can't see it being a problem, ive seen frozen hamburgers with ketchup in them. I also freeze loads of tomato based sauce things.

That's great, thanks! I think I'll just make one round and see how they turn out first...do I just put them in a sandwich bag? or wrap in clingfilm? If they go soggy when defrosted OH won't eat them and will probably end up at Greggs :rolleyes:0 -

This is what I am wondering.... is it ok to freeze them tightly wrapped in clingfilm? Would this prevent any condensation/sogginess when defrosted? If I had a pound for every...... oh sod it, if I just had a pound I'd be richer!0 -
Just freeze the bread and then get one out a day it will keep for 3 months in a freezer - I have been buying reduced price bread for ages and I find that this works for meBlessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light

hi,
Im in preparation for my son going back to school on monday and my husband needing pack lunches. I have made 4 different cakes today, which i have sliced and frozen. I have made some lentil pate and frozen a couple of sandwiches filled with the pate.
Can anyone suggest any other types of cheap and easy fillings that are quite 'happy' to be frozen in a sandwich? where my husband can just grab and go as to speak!!!!
many thanksIt's the start of the no takeaway challenge.0
