    Hi I ahve just come across this thread, I had NO IDEA you could frezze sarnies! this will help no end at our home!

    A friend of mine make hers and her husbands up and leaves them in fridge all week for work.

    I didn't risk it today incase DS said it wasn't nice and didn't eat it!

    UPDATE!

    2 days in and so far the following has frozen successfully...

    cheese
    ham
    chorizo
    egg & salad cream (The extra light salad cream)
    branston pickle

    Going to try next:

    mango sausage (using leftover sausages from tea)
    tuna & salad cream& sweetcorn
    corned beef & pickle
    Ham & piccalili

    I wonder? Can you freeze things like rice salads and past salads?

    Whn I told hubbt i Found this board and told him about frezzing sarnies, he couldnt believe it. He didnt want to try"what thepoint of that!" were see next week! lol
  • i was wondering the same NAT.B can you freeze pasta salads? anyone?

  • I have some whoopsied pasta salad frozen in portions for next week when i start uni, i'll let you know when ive tryed it lol.

  • I freeze tomato-based pasta dishes all the time, some of which I reheat for dinner, others I eat cold, like the pasta salads from supermarkets (and miles healthier).
    So, things like arrabiata, tomato & basil, tomato & mascarpone, puttanesca, are all fine.

    Mayonnaise-based sauces won't freeze, though.

    The ones ive frozen have mayo in them :o , oh well we will see hey :D :rotfl: .
