I've cleaned my deak and now have a little jar of sweet peas on it - smells divine.
Not got far with flying - Mum came to pick DS3 up after school but as the heavens openned she stayed until 5.
Big two fed, then to check their stuff for taking tomorrow, have my tea and then I would carry on with OH office but he will be home and in it! Hope to get the enthusiasm up to do DS3 room but will see how I feel .
I fancy a pimms but have to do a youth club run at 8:00 so need to wait a bit yet.The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
hex I'm so boring, I'd do the bathroom :rotfl: saying that it's 11 years since I last went abroad and don't miss it at all, only ever been to Paris and Lanzarote so never really travelled, I prefer staying in this country.
Don't laugh but we have jointly agreed probably to do the bathroom instead, and then do Portugal for May half term if I have saved enough again. Mild regret - but will get more daily pleasure from a roll top bath than the momory of a weeks holiday. We travelled a lot pre children and both miss it though.
BnQ in the morning for more wood for stud walls and some plaster board :j . I must get a life.

Just having a lovely arguement with a member of Freecycle, !!!!!! she's getting up my nose now, a few have done that this week. I really appreciate why some groups fall to pieces if they all have such irritating members.**Calm, calm, calm, be nice** I think some people are just born annoying.
Boys have the train set out in the conservatory then left me playing with it while they wandered off and did other things, they're now trying to get out of putting it away, which isn't going to happen!
Sitting room is a bit of a tip with their other things actually, they've managed to rip the zip on one of the bean bags aswell, grrr, wouldn't mind if they weren't £30 each, wondering if I can sew (eeeek my sewing skills are useless) on some velcro.....
hex, when you look at your beautiful bathroom with your wonderful rolled top bath (I will be jealous) I am sure the regret will be even milder, I end up evaluating based on what I will get the most pleasure from aswell.
Dusty you have inspired me, I am going to get the paperwork mountain which has built up (in piles all over the house) sorted! By Sunday....I think that's a challenge enough as there are loads. One day I might be more organised...........

Lil-me - I'm erring on the side of 1920s flapper dress - if I can just find one to buy (don't want to hire) but am worried about my 'bulk' Though it could be flattering if the waist is low enough.... But then I'm thinking maybe I could dress as Amelia Earhart in flying stuff - but that may be not right for a hi-falutin' ball... Anyone know of any high street stores that are selling flapper sutff off the peg?
And Lil-me - you amaze me. I had my dormouse time the other week but am more or less fine now. I do wonder if it's only natural for you to be feeling dormouse like given you do SOOOO much all the time. I admire you for your determination and give you big hugs. Have you ever thought of having an hours rest?I am the leading lady in the movie of my life

Soappie, yes the one I wore could have been classed as a 'flapper dress' I don't go shopping enough unfortunately to have noticed them in shops but remember an article in a mag last year saying they'd be back. I however wasn't keen on bare arms (until I'd had a few) but the dress was so pretty I loved it. Wish I had a photo. **Edit** Additions have 2 (and associated catalogues like Littlewoods etc have the same ones)
Oh and don't be that nice to me, I do naff all compared to how much needs doing and the house shows that, but thank you. I don't have a naturally tidy bone in my entire body, so what others find natural I find hard work and needing thought, cooking I am a nightmare, I don't think anyone could possibly make more mess than me when cooking. I keep thinking if only we didn't make so much mess it'd be easier but we're all so messy, it comes naturally to dump things in a pile to deal with later etc.
I should get back to studying, I've emailed the Freecycle person the email to complain to Freecycle that someones posting within the rules, the woman just can't get her head round it, there is nothing wrong with what was asked for, she can go moan there because I give up. I promised myself I'd get back to it by 21.15pm so will make a cuppa first. One day I might be more organised...........

OMG OMG OMG.
I'm in shock and in a bit of a quandry. I need advice ladies.
My first ex-husband, who is the father of my DS, who I haven't seen or heard of for nigh on 25 years has just got in touch with me through Friends Reunited.
What do I do?
Do I ignore?
Do I respond - if so, how? " You dirty rotten b*stard...." "Hello how are you?"
All I know is I am currently in a state of slight shock and have no idea what to think. I have been transported back to my life 25+ years ago with good memories and bad memories. I have spoken to DS about it and shown him the contact email and he's cool with whatever I choose to do.
But, I don't know what to do!!!!!
HELLLP!!I am the leading lady in the movie of my life
