Hi
I have made a post that the editor of the magazine did not like.
I have removed the post now but please could you add the mag to the list of publications that do not like their comps posted.
This one is 'The Bay' a free local mag distributed around the Swansea area.
Thanks

11 Are there any sites, from experience, which are likely to generate lots of spam?
There are a few which have come to our collective attention as sites that, when used for comps, seem to generate lots of unwanted postal, email & phone call attention. These are listed below for your information, however, please do remember that this is only the collective opinion of other MSE Compers & does not necessarily reflect upon the sites themselves.

weekly/monthly/quarterly comps from mags are generally
posted by the same ops each time,
if you put the name of the url/site in search it generally comes up with the list of the comps & you can see who posts them on a regular basis,

There's a lot that goes into Comping
If you look in post 1 there is a list of things covered so that you can use that as an index to jump to the most likely place that will answer a particular question you have.
If you have the time (& the patience of a saint!!) you could sit there & read the lot, but I certainly wouldn't recommend that!
Use it the way that suits you bestSad because you don't know what to do? Comping question? Take a look in the Comping Guide to find out0 -
Hi MSE,
I was wondering, when you are entering competitions, if you don't enter data into all the fields (e.g. phone number) does it make a difference to your chance of winning??
Thanks,
