    Hi
I have made a post that the editor of the magazine did not like.
I have removed the post now but please could you add the mag to the list of publications that do not like their comps posted.
This one is 'The Bay' a free local mag distributed around the Swansea area.
    Thanks

hi, i've pm'd velvetglove about the posting & sent her the link with
    your posting xx

11 Are there any sites, from experience, which are likely to generate lots of spam?
There are a few which have come to our collective attention as sites that, when used for comps, seem to generate lots of unwanted postal, email & phone call attention. These are listed below for your information, however, please do remember that this is only the collective opinion of other MSE Compers & does not necessarily reflect upon the sites themselves.

    2minutedraw
    4FreeUK
    ABCWins
    ActiveYou
    Clash Club/Clash media
    Club La Costa
    Consumer Lifestyles
    Consumer Opinions
Craftomatic Beds (Comps appear to be just a way to get a salesman into your home, especially if vulnerable/alone)
    Emailinform
    EZ Prize Giveaway
    Fair Exchange
FindAPrize (questions raised if prizes awarded, slight spam, non existant company address, dodgy? Info here & here)
    GetMeATicket
    GetYourBillsPaid
    GreatUKsurveys
    Guide2Win
    InstantPrizeDraw
    Just-Rewards
    Lingscars
    MyConsumer
    MyFamilyUK
    MyOffers
NoizeMakesEnemies (Care - your profile with name, address, phone number & email appear to be on show with no way to make it private!!)
Nuts (comps.nuts.co.uk - comps are now run by the data collecting company Data Media & Research Ltd.)
    OffersClick
    Opinioniser
Optimax (phone calls, letters & emails!)
    PenicuUK.com (linked to Weatherseal below)
PickMeUpMagazine (comps.PickMeUpMagazine.co.uk - Care: the magazine comps seem to be unaffected, but any comps which direct to this site are run by the data collecting company Data Media & Research Ltd)
Premier Christian Radio (lots of postal junk mail even when you opt out of future contact)
    Prize4U
    Prizes.UK
    Plum Offers
    PrizePunch
    RewardsToday
    Simple2Win
    SupremeOGlaze (linked to Weatherseal below)
    Space Kitchens (see thread here)
    Tickbox
    Topfox
    Toyhound
    UK-PrizeDraw
    VoiceInACrowd
    Vouch4me
    Weatherseal
    Weather Wherever
Whats On TV (now 'powered by Instant!!!!!!!')
Willowbrook (chairs) (have pestered with phone calls quite badly on some comps - see here and also here)

hiya, only for the magazine postings as the ops subscribe/pay for them to post regular.. if it helps here..

    postal/texts..

    http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.php?t=3331168

    puzzler comps..

    http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.php?t=3577925&highlight=puzzler+comps

    http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.php?t=3443191

weekly/monthly/quarterly comps from mags are generally
posted by the same ops each time,

if you put the name of the url/site in search it generally comes up with the list of the comps & you can see who posts them on a regular basis,

Good lord, there's a lot to read in that guide!

There's a lot that goes into Comping :)

If you look in post 1 there is a list of things covered so that you can use that as an index to jump to the most likely place that will answer a particular question you have.

If you have the time (& the patience of a saint!!) you could sit there & read the lot, but I certainly wouldn't recommend that!

Use it the way that suits you best :)

    Hi MSE,

I was wondering, when you are entering competitions, if you don't enter data into all the fields (e.g. phone number) does it make a difference to your chance of winning??

    Thanks,
    Fishgirl.

Hi kremmen, Twitter is something that I'm working on now to put into the Comping Guide. There is some info here that was recommended to me by another comper for basic twitter. Hope this helps :)
