It's not a board, it's a thread..........but it's for all things connected to irons and ironing.
Maybe you're like me and would much rather eat chocolate than tackle a pile of ironing.:D
Maybe you have some tips to make the task (ironing, not chocolate eating) easier.:cool2:

Fold everything as soon as it is dry, straight off the washing line or straight out of the tumble dryer, especially when it is still warm. Smooth it all out carefully, then when it comes to wearing it, you might not have to iron it at all, at worst it will only need a quick once over.I'm an MSE winner!

Ever tried putting in words something you do automatically - anyway here here goes -
Hang out wet washing as soon as machine has finished (or the damned child safety catch will let you).
Before hanging on line give each item a sharp 'snappy' shake to shake out wet creases.
Hang on line so wind will 'fill' them.
Peg non-stretch items so the pegs keep them horizontally taut.
Sheets - fold in half widthways before pegging out, peg both thicknesses at each end but only one thickness in the middle pull the loose edge down so wind can get in.
Put dried shirts and blouses straight on to hangers.
Fold dried trousers in correct creases and only fold in half once.
When folding stuff do it neatly, smoothing the item with your hands before each fold.
Bedding - Ironing bedding seals the surface and will keep bedding cleaner for longer but you only need to iron pillowcases and the top section of sheet (very handy if you don't always remove make up at night).
Sheets - fold in four widthways, again smoothing with your hands, so the area nearest your face will be on the outside before folding over and ready for ironing.
Let your radiators do the ironing - put trousers and anything else that folds flat neatly on radiators to finish off.
These tips won't eliminate ironing completely but they sure cut it down.0 -
My Mum taught me that if you iron your clothes whilst still slightly damp..it takes less time therefore uses less electricity! Make sure you when you've ironed your damp clothes that you hang then straight + crease free on the drying rack! Perfect0

Why get so hung up about ironing? Just get it done like any other household task, sorry but I really can't see the problem with it, let alone the need to have a threadDoing voluntary work overseas for as long as it takes .......
My DD might make the odd post for me0 -

Tip 1 - Leave in washing machine for 1-2 hrs after the cycle has finished.
Tip 2 - Hang on indoor airer - avoid washing line at all costs!
Tip 3 - Allow the OH to take off airer, this produces maximum untidyness in the laundry basket.
Tip 4 - Put in bedroom with remainder of washing pile.
Tip 5 - Leave pile to 'settle' for 3 to 4 weeks minimum.
Tip 6 - Wait for a special occasion to takle the ironing. eg. parents visiting, holiday away etc.
Tip 7 - Don't listen to me!BSC Member 155
