    Morning again,

Have done all the washing, which is blowing on the line, house is all clean and tidy, so a good head start on the weekend.

Just nipped up to MR T, needed to get my DD some painkillers and aftersun, ( she is flopped out on sofa boiling hot to touch and not right at all ) any way I saw my bosses mum in there  , bet she will be straight on the phone to my boss, is it wrong that I was in MR T ? and why do I feel so guilty ?

I grabbed two of the cath kidston bags while in mr T, Someone on here mentioned then, sorry can't remember who :o , £3.50 each, but one has just sold on ebay for £14 !!!! Will hang onto them for a week or two, then try to sell them

Just going to watch a film with my DD, and will try to get her in a tepid bath later; thats going to sting a bit

    Tacos for tea.

    Have good afternoons all xx

    Hello everyone

It's bright and sunny here today:j:j After yesterday's downpours it's a miracle. It's still not especially warm though, but it is such an improvement.

Redruby, it sounds like you've been out and back already, but if you can get your hands on some aloe vera cream or gel - as close to 100% aloe vera as possible - it works absolute miracles on sunburn. I agree with the sentiment that the school needs to be taken to task for not letting your DD into the changing rooms to get the lotion. It is totally unacceptable and there is no excuse good enough. And don't feel guilty about going to Mr T's when you have already contacted work to let them know the situation!!

Taplady, how maddening for that to happen to your son's car! People can be so incredibly petty about parking spaces. It's hardly a life or death matter, but OMG it certainly lights peoples fuses. Hope he gets it sorted out and that he is left alone.

Bargain Rzl - your story made me groan in sympathy. I know that when I need to go....I need to go!!! I dread long car journeys and getting stuck on motorways as there is simply nothing you can do. It's alright for men and their empty bottles:o. I don't know when I'll be in London next, but I have commited your 30p advice to my long term memory so that I don't get stuck.

Tired Mum - how did your interview go? I hope that they liked you and that you liked them. Good luck with the outcome.

I've done sweet nothing so far today, what a lazy cow I am! I do have a couple of phone calls to return, though they are just agencies so suspect that they will be just waffle.

I might go out later to the shops as I've a wedding outfit to get....I can't stand shopping for clothes, I feel such a frump and cannot stand shop assistants fussing about. I'm not too fond of the paying bit either:rolleyes::rolleyes:

    Bye for now.

anniestar, candygirl and smokybabe, sending you hugs and thinking of you all.
Penny-Pincher, I hope you feel better soon.
Beth, glad db2’s x-ray results were good.
Anniebooklover, well done on getting your debt down.
    Welcome back reverie.
    Tiredmum, good luck!
Redruby, those bags sound lovely…I’m going to nip down later to see if my local has them.
    Mioliere, have a great weekend!
Aussie, saw you with your dress on back to front the other day. Hope you managed to get it sorted out before you waved at the slashers.

Sorry everyone, I’ve been MIA for ages. :o I just got out of the way of posting lately even though I still read the thread every day. I’ve been busy in the garden and with the children off school (ours finished on 27th June and have nine weeks off  ) so I haven’t been spending so much time at the pc. However snowyowl gave me a good [strike]kick up the backside[/strike] nudge in the right direction so I though I’d better say hello. I’d forgotten how much it helps when I post what I want to do on here because I’m more likely to stick to stick to it.

So far today I’ve had a leisurely bath, got two loads of washing on the line, the house is tidy(ish) and the bread is in the oven. Later my plans are to re-pot the peppers, sort out the window boxes and hanging baskets and weed the veggie beds. Pork stir fry for tea.

We booked a holiday earlier this week…didn’t think we were going to go this year because dd doesn’t want to come and I’m reluctant to leave her, but Mr Pink talked some sense into me, and we’re off to the Loire next Thursday. So I’m in the middle of making holiday lists for that and frantically trying to find and fit into last years shorts. :o

Finally, you’ll be glad to hear, I had the most lovely surprise in the post this morning………two hand knitted dishcloths from Penelope Penguin. They’re absolutely gorgeous! One has a sun design and the other a pink-winged stick insect. Actually it’s probably a butterfly, but it looks like a pink-winged to me. Far too good for washing dishes Penny! ;) Thank you so much! :kisses3:

I hope you all have a good day.

    Hi Suzynick

My first suggestion would be to make a comprehensive list of EVERYTHING food wise you have. Seperate the lists for freezer, fridge, cupboards. Then meal plan using meals you already know how to cook and that are household favs. At the same time look through your recipes books and this site and find more ideas. I've found that reading the weekly mealplans gives me ideas (will hunt the liny out for you in a mo), everyone puts there list of what they are eating for that week. You might read it and see something you've not had for ages.
I'm a list person - I list what I have to do each day or else I would forget loads. It takes a hell of a long time to get into routines but take baby steps. I try and get stuff out of the freezer for the following day just after tea time - I usually fill the sink for the washing up and leave it to soak for a bit while I go rummaging through the freezer!

Ultimately try and have fun, I've found that if OS isn't fun I really REALLY hate doing it.

I'm sure loads more peeps will be along soon with even more hints and tips

    Banana Lovers
Buy your bananas in bunches of 5 on Sunday. Then arrange them in order of ripeness and write a day of the week on each banana in felt pen, Monday on the ripest, Friday on the greenest to save time making those decisions on a hectic weekday morning

    Hello!

I shop at waitrose once a week and spend about £30-£40 for 2 of us plus 2 cats. A recent check on mysupermarket.com showed that I could only save 30p by shopping elsewhere but I prefer waitrose anyway its much nicer!
Glad I'm not the only one shopping at Waitrose;) .

I am stuck cooking the same things over and over......lasagne, cottage pie, spag bol (all my favourites), the beef stew thingy, something thrown with potato wedges when I can't think of what to make, a tuna pasta back when I've forgotton to get meat out......
I would suggest asking for a subscription to Good Food Magazine for a birthday or Christmas present. My mum gets me this every Christmas and I never bore of it. Or look at their website for ideas (just type in an ingredient you want to use and do a search).

    Good luck.
