    Morning all
I went for my NVQ assessment/introduction yesterday, I got 77.5% in maths & 90% in english we were allowed 90 mins to do each one & I took 45 to do the maths & 27 on english. I can never remember when to use a semi colon, otherwise I'd have got 100% in english, with the maths I didn't understand the question, what is the 'range' I had to say what the range was for a list of numbers, but the answer was just one number. Oh well, I'll ask at school today.
    Have a good day everyone.
    Hugs Hester

    Great results Hester.....

The range is the difference between the highest and lowest in a set of numbers, so for example in a set of temperatures, say 1°, 5° and 10° the range would be 9°.

Yesterday I got all the darks washed, dried and ironed. Then started on the colours. They're on the line at the moment. Didn't manage to get time to wash up yesterday morning so there was a huge pile there. Whilst OH played on the computer I started to tackle it. Didn't get it all done, but mostly. Oh finished it off this morning.

Something was up with monster's bum last night. Changed 4 nappies in 1 hour 30 mins. So will be keeping a close eye on her today.

Jobs today....well the colours will need ironing later once they've dried. I usually go shopping with my mum and then spend some time with her. Its the only way she gets to spend a little time with the monster without anyone or anything interrupting.

Most of the shopping has already been done so that job doesn't need to be done this weekend.

Tea today is fish with a bit of salad. I would put it with some chips but I don't have any potatoes for some homemade ones, and don't have any room in the freezer to store some bought ones. Thought about some fried new pots, but won't have the time this pm to do it.

Hugs to all who need them.

    Morning all,

Another bright and beautiful day here, supposed to be at work, but am going to have to phone in for a carer day, it was DD's sports day yesterday, and I sent her in with sun cream, she is very fair, anyway once they were changed the school locked the changing rooms and they were not allowed back in
so she us completly sun burned, bright red, and cannot move, I shall be phoning the school this morning to complain, my DD does not need to be told to put cream on ( at 13 she is old enough) but she needs to be able to get to the cream.

Anyway rant over, so I will get the washing done today, I had a load out overnight which will be dry now, another load to go in, have a tidy around, then maybe watch a film with dd.

Kathy, enjoy your hen weekend, it sounds fantastic, hope you don't fall asleep in the car :D

Happy Independance day to those celebrating

    Hi everyone

I haven't been here for ages and I have gone astray (feel free to slap my wrists!) in my defence, I broke my leg in February and then just when recovered was busy enjoying my wedding! Anyway, here to get back on track now!

Hope everyone is well, it's lovely to see familiar faces (can you have a face online?!). I'm going to sit back and catch up on everyone's gossip and news today! Hugs to anyone who needs them.

    Hi all!

RedRuby - I'd be hopping mad, too, and would definitely complain. No-one needs to be told about the importance of sun protection these days and you'd think the school would know better. Hope your DD's sunburn eases.

N9EAV - I know Cornwall is absolutely beautiful but Devon's gorgeous, too! If I was closer I'd bring all the girls round to share your supper so just be pleased we are 50 miles away!

Hester - well done - terrific results! A semi-colon is used to replace conjunctions; it brings two related sentences together when a full stop would separate them too much, IYSWIM! If there is such a thing as a favourite punctuation mark, then mine is the semi-colon. I know; I'm a bit of a saddo!

Poppy - Whilst I love English, maths is not my strongest subject! Thanks for the meaning of 'range'. Every day's a schoolday, as they say! Your ring will turn up when you aren't looking for it, I expect.

    Welcome back, Reverie!

Good luck, Tired Mum! Sending good vibes your way!

Well, I've had a shower and done a bit more packing - it's difficult to know what to take because if it pours with rain it could get quite cool. Oh, well, I won't care once I've got there!

Anyway, washing is on and I think I'll take some HM bread with me so I'd better get that on, too!

    See you later.

    Hi Guys!

I feel sooooo sick this morning.....but trying to work through it. Have the nurse coming in soon so may ask if she can give me anti-sick jab.

WM is on with bedding and the cleaners will be here any minute. Hopefully another load on later.

DD has an interview at school for 15 mins then she is free for the rest of the day. I am hoping that my sickness will ease and we can go to the cinema this afternoon as we havent been out the house for ages except hospital:rolleyes:

Anyway, I hope everyone is ok and keeping well.

    Love to all and hugs.
