Have lovely weekend Jayward & Mioliere

You would have been waiting a while for me this morning as didn't awaken until 8.30 - AC did it's job. Also had siesta yesterday in the shade.

A bit cloudy atm, but that is not a problem for me. Still warm.

    Morning everyone

    ((hugs)) to those in need
DGD is home from hospital :j

Redruby – I think schools have a thing about locking stuff away, when DS was at school he had to keep his inhaler in the secretary’s office, which was locked at lunchtime
Tiredmum – good luck for the interview
Poppyoscar – hope you find the ring
Hester - I had to do an english test at an interview I went to recently, I got the semi colon question wrong too. Luckily I didn't have to do a maths one - not my strong point, my answer to the range question would have been
Mioliere - enjoy your weekend, and the nap on the way down :rotfl:

Have been busy this morning, cleaned kitchen and done the ironing. I got some clothes for DGD earlier this week and washed them it really took me back ironing tiny little t-shirts awwwwww. Will post them when I go down town later.
After watching the programme about Mamma Mia last night, OH and I decided we would see it this weekend but have just looked and it's not released till next week! After all the interviews etc this week I thought it was already out.

Going to get ready now, washing and bin need putting out, don't want to scare the neighbours with my bedhead  then off down the town and library.
whoever said laughter was the best medicine has clearly never tasted wine

N9eav - what are hush puppies...I only know them as the shoes!

    Hester - great results, congratulations

Haven't got anything planned today - just continuing monster clear out, flute playing, and hopefully picking up laptop

PenPin - sending (((hugs))) to you - hope you are well enough for the cinema. What are you going to see?

Dazi - I must admit buying clothes for my grandchildren when they were newborn really took me back, too. When I fetch them from school, the years just melt away - it feels exactly the same as when I used to do the school run with mine. The only difference is the mad sense of panic when you are a few seconds late! It's then that you remember that it's someone else's child that you are responsible for! I hope your DGD is doing well.

Well, I've had a shower, dried my hair, looked at my eyebrows and have to schedule in some time to prune them as well as paint my nails, got the WM on, the BM on because I've decided to take some bread for the weekend breakfasts, unpacked and repacked my holdall, decided to change handbags because I want one big enough to hold half my life including my camera, counted out my pennies to make sure I have enough, put the ironing board up to clear the small mountain, made a list so I don't forget things like emptying the teapot and the kitchen bin - you'd think I was going away for a fortnight not two days and nights!

Anyway, I shouldn't keep coming back on here but it's irresistible! How am I going to cope without you all for a whole weekend?

WM has finished so I'd better go and peg the washing out. Still a lovely sunny day, so far.

    See ya.

    Morning all!

last day (and a sleep in ) at work then got a 3 day weekend off:j :j

DS1 has been hounding me by txt this morning wanting me to ring his boss for him and say he's sick:mad: I told him he had to sort it out himself as he's an adult now(supposedly:rolleyes: )He is 18 and lives away from home in the week, coming home at weekends. I feel a bit guilty but I know I'm in the right so will stick to my guns.

DS1 also phoned yesterday to say his car had been badly scratched(by some keys:mad: ) and a note saying 'told you' was on the windscreen - his landladys was done as well quite badly and some other neighbours! the police were called and after the landlady took the morning off work to wait in the police didn't turn up:mad: it seems to be a vendetta about parking I think. Poor DS1 was quite worried about it and had visions of his tyres being slashed.

PP - hope you feel well enough for the cinema later x

    Catowen and Mrs_Mix :hello: :hello:

Kyle - hope you get a rest later x

Annisbooklover - well done on being virtually debt free:T

Hester - that maths test takes me back to helping the kids do their homework! - wasn't much help to them when it came to maths!:D

hope you all have a lovely day x

I'm still having trouble with next door when I went to the bank yesterday he was in the shopping centre and at the top of his voice said to his "companion" look there goes that !!!!! from next door as you can imagine I was mortified all because I have asked him a few times not to park over my parking bay (we both have disabled bays ) and he continually parks so the back of his car is in my bay so in the end I reported him

redruby when I googled them it suggested they were fried cornmeal breads. As for schools not allowing things outside of buildings - my DD informed me yesterday that on Sports Day the students were not allowed to bring their own drinks to the playing fields and then had to pay 50p for each bottle of water.
Pen-Pin sorry to hear you are feeling to sickly today. Hope you improve as the day goes on.
poppyoscar hope you find the ring. Most likely it will turn up when you least expect it.
    reverie welcome back!

Well, I have a poorly DD lying on the sofa at the moment. XDH phoned me at 7 to say "she has been up all night with v&d. What do you want to do about it?" He seems averse to taking holidays when the children are sick so I have had to rearrange things with my boss and I will now work on Tuesday to make up for being off today. Not exactly happy with him but it does give me a chance to mollycoddle my DD - haven't done that in years as they are rarely ill enough to be off school.

    Bye for now. xx

Morning all, a bit late on here, have been pottering in the garden.

Yesterday was a good day, DD2's hosp ap went well, she will get results next week, I could tell by the graph readings that her hand/arm probs did not register as high as mine :T so hopefully no op required. Fingers crossed.
We had a great day shopping, laughing, had lunch and more shopping laughing. I bought her a couple of outfits with bags and shoes. Not very OS but she is worth every penny. Got home at 6 chick cass in slow cooker so just had to do rice. DD went home at 8.30.

DB2 phoned at 9pm, I had tried phoning all evening but no answer.
He had the results re his chest/lungs x-ray. He had the all clear :j :j We were so relieved we both cried and poared out lots of love for eachother. :o He is coming to terms with the Melanoma and is trying to stay positive but bouts of deppresion still loom.

Smoked mackral sald for dins, so quick and easy HM apple crumble for pud.
Will start to make twin bed curtains after a quick vacum and dust.

Anyway enough of me me me.

Mioliere enjoy your w/end I doubt you will sleep in the car with so many girlies chatting. I saw the Remoska in Lakland y/day, the grand is huge, will await your view on it.

Penpin, hope the nurse can ease you sickness, Take great care of yourself.

Am sending special HUGS to Smokie, Penpin, Mrs. Mix. Candy and DDad, Hester, Annie,JackiO, sorry if I have missed anyone. xx

P.S. Taplady, was typing when you posted, what a horrible thing to happen to your son, sorry to read about it. x

That's Slush Puppy :D;)Hush Puppy is a type of cornbread.

Edit - ooooppps, pressed submit rather than advanced :o

Good morning - just been for my last run before the R4L on Sunday  Actually, it's not been bad - the running is going well, so I'm fully intending to get round without stopping, and doing it sub-35mins will be a bonus, but not important :T please keep everything crossed for me at 10:30 on Sunday :A

Today is the final push on Operation Await the In-laws      Those screeches are for what needs doing in the house, not for the IL's - they're lovely :D I need to do the bedding in our room (they're having that as they don't like our futon, so DH and I are in the spare room - I love the futon :T ) and give it a general dust and polish. I also need to get all the clothes that I'll need over the weekend, as I have 3 early starts and don't want to disturb them. As the forecast isn't great DH hasn't decided what he's doing, so I've not been able to plan food  We were going to barbeque but that might be off. DD said that Grandpa likes pizza - so that'll be it :T

Hugs to Taplady's DS and Annie BL's DD

    Bethebee - that's great news!!

Mrs Mix - hope you get it sorted

Haribo, are you back from hols - have you any photos for us?

Please kick me if my light is on loads today :o Have a good one, Penny. x
