Having low carb sausages, fried egg and a couple of cherry tomatoes and really enjoyed it.

I put a turkey thigh in the slow cooker this morning and will strip the meat off it later and use some of it for me for tea. Might stir fry it with some shredded broccoli and green beans with spices added.

Have a French loaf in the breadmaker for the rest of the family and still a few home baked rolls left from yesterday.

DH is polishing off half the remains of yesterday's lentil soup for lunch.

DD (19) has a friend over tonight so will be frantically helping me clean up to DD's high standards - she is very, very houseproud!!!

The house across the road that sold a few weeks ago has finally had its "Sold" sign removed - let's hope this encourages ours to finally sell.

Elona just wondered are you going to be moving far from where you are now? Forgive me if you have already mentioned this and I've forgotten:o

A houseproud teenager - they must be rare as hens' teeth!:)

I do like the idea of turkey in the slow cooker - now that the weather seems to be cooler I may do something in ours at the weekend...

I don't either I used to when eating refined carbs but I don't any more, my partner who is still eating bread/potatoes/rice (though not as much as before) is still making noises occasionally.

never fart when low carbing - its why i make my hub continue with it LOL

busy busy day today 9 hour shift at work then had a massage client at 7pm cream crackered now!!

    brekkie - rashers of bacon
lunch - mixed salad with small handful of chickpeas and sprinkling of sweetcorn
dinner - fish pie with salad

snacked on 2 crackers and cheese - crackerbread crackers are approx 3g of carbs each
not ideal but was starving when got home from work and didnt have time to eat and digest a meal before my massage

am currently treating myself to a square of dark choccie laced with orange chrunchy bits to go with my cup of tea

no exercise today - however giving a massage certainly works up a sweat and is pretty hard work

    hope everyone is well :)

I just had a slice of home made French bread with butter - first for eight weeks and really enjoyed it.

Feel a bit guilty but realise that I do not crave the mass produced rubbish and that the slice I had was enough.

Before low carbing - nothing was ever enough!

However it doesn't cost £17.95/month extra to follow the Atkins or Dr Dalhqvist plans neither do you have to pay £9.95/month for online support.

The critical points they make about Atkins regarding a failure to increase fruit or veg intake isn't really a fault of the diet but the way it is being implemented. I certainly on the Dr D's plan (similar to Atkins Ongoing Weight Loss stage) have been eating veg at each meal of breakfast, lunch and dinner and I have fruit in between as a snack or for desert, so have absolutely no trouble at all meeting 5 a day. I probably average 7 a day and despite the fact I am not trying to lose any more weight I've had to alter my sig again.

With regards to iron there are loads of foodsources of iron that can be safely included in a low carb diet. Exactly the same can be said for Niacin foodsources

We have to remember that we existed for 2million years before we started farming grains so the idea that refined carbohydrates provide ESSENTIAL nutrients for the body that are unobtainable elsewhere is simply wrong.

FINALLY, the revamped Atkins diet lets you eat bread | Mail Online

i have never read such a load of bunkum in my life, sad thing is people will think that its correct and say they are doing atkins and wondering why they arent losing

ugghhh i thought journalists were supposed to research!!! and this would be the same daily mail who sold thousands of extra copies when it gave away fee pamphlets on atkins when it was all the rage a few years ago
