I found this which reckons Coconut milk has 6.3 grams of carbs, Heavy cream 6.6grams. So not much difference.. just wondering if there would be more sugar? Oooooh, i'd love a coconut milk curryBSC Member 155

Try as I might, I just can't get used to green tea... I wish I could because I know it's really good for me... but I just can't wean myself off the regular stuff:o

Wish me luck! & any hints and tips would be much appreciated!
Try also substituting Coconut Oil for frying . While it does tend to spit a bit because it's medium chain its better for you than normal saturated fat and it promotes ketosis. I tried some ketosticks because they were being discussed on another forum and I was curious. I don't think they are essential but it is quite interesting to see the colour change that signifies your body is burning fat. I just use cheapo Coconut oil from and Indian Grocers about £1 £1.50 a 500ml pot much cheaper than the pure virgin stuff.
I didn't stop eating yoghurt, but mine is all home made with only whole milk.
You will see here that Dr McCleary of the Brain Trust Program is an advocate of low carb eating for optimal brain function. I found that I appeared to have lost the brain fog that used to make concentrating on nutritional research papers somewhat difficult. Being able to think clearer and concentrate longer makes things much easier. My weight loss following Doktor Dahlqvist' Dietary Program

I tried these too. Not good to get too hung up about using them I think, but as a guide to indicate ketosis they are, as you say, helpful.

Are we not supposed to have tea? I've got a cuppa infront of me now
I don't have sugar or sweetners anymore though:laugh:
I have 1 or 2 cups a day, sometimes none.BSC Member 155

Idiot Proof Diet doesn't allow even green tea in Phase 1
Not that I've ever had it.
I make do with decaff coffee (plus a slug of double cream) and fruit teas.0 -
You shouldn't be having anything caffeinated.
G-G - you really need to read about and understand the 'rules' before starting this kind of diet.0 -

Where do you get the info for Idiot Proof diet Tinkerbell?
I have been really good for lunch. I had a slither of ham, a slither of roast beef, a babybel, a chicken skewer and slice of a tomato. I hope that's good anyhow
Going to have chicken again for dinner tonight, with brocolli and cauliflower.
So, how much have people lost on the various low carb diets? and have you found that it got easier after a week or two?BSC Member 155
