good luck to both of u with yr weightloss will be watching keenly to see how u both do

just one thing i wanted to say is that veggies IS allowed on atkins and provides the major part of the carb allowance,,, the plan u are doing (as I understand it from ted) is not that dissimalar to atkins after the first 2 weeks anyways so u should both lose well

Thanks shykins! Appreciate the support:D For once I was organised and managed to make a chicken salad for me to bring into work today. I find if I don't bring my own lunch, the options for buying lunch out (apart from being expensive and not MSE-friendly:rolleyes:) are not very lo-carb friendly either. So I must try and be more organised on that front.

Trying to decide what to have for dinner tonight... must get my thinking cap on...

I'm having indian spiced chicken skewers with cauliflower and brocolli, covered in a little cheese.

Then strawberries and cream for dessert.. Not too many strawberries tho. ;)

Then a couple of nuts, or two squares of 85% cocoa dark chocolate.

*Can you tell i've been to the shops!*

I'm doing okay I think, although I just had a yoghurt and it says it has 20.5g carbs per 100g. 30.8 per pot! :undecided so I don't think I should have them, but I will have them one a day until they are gone. I don't think they will do too much damage hopefully.

I'm looking forward to having more energy

I've been low carbing since the end of january and yoghurt is not allowed. Way too high in carbs (I'm on 20g of carbs (ish) per day)

No caffeine (tea or coffee), milk, fruit, fizzy drinks allowed, as well as the things you know aren't allowed like bread and rice and pastry and pasta..........

I'm doing the Idiot Proof Diet, by the way, and I LOVE IT!!!

2 stone lost in 5 months, and not really much more exercise than pre-diet.

This is the one i'm doing and it says you can have yoghurt, milk and a limited amount of fruit.. altho, I think my yoghurt choice needs reviewing.. :undecided

What do you think of this one Tinkerbell? Which one are you following?

Hi tinkerbell. That's fantastic - well done! :T I think the plan that G-G and I are following does allow yoghurt (the 10 % fat unsweetened type) and other dairy... it is slightly different from Atkins, but I'm going to try it for a while and see how it goes :)

Oh, I have dairy, but not milk (of any kind - I can have double cream, extra thick double cream or clotted cream though ), i have lots of eggs and cheese too.

I'm veggie, which makes it a bit harder, but as the diet is predominently veg based, and i do eat some kinds of fish, i'm not finding it too hard at all.

And there's no counting, and you can eat out and have takeaways and everything :j
