Thanks Tinkerbell!
I've been drinking my water, I'm peeing like a racehorse! The people at work must think there's something wrong with me as I keep jumping up to either fill up my bottle of water or run to the toliet!
I'm going to try making oopsies tomorrow as I think I'm going to be struggling for snacks soon enough. And I want something to put my pate and cream cheese on!
When it comes to cheese and nuts, how much is too much?

As you eat meat, they recommend no bigger than a matchbox size of cheese per day (not one of those huge matchboxes)
Checking the bag of mixed nuts on my desk tells me that 100g of almonds, brazils, hazelnuts and walnuts is 5g of carbs. Cashews, pecans and peanuts are much higher - around 17g from memory.
I tend to have around a dozen nuts in a sitting (of whatever type as i like different types).

Don't oopsies have cream cheese in them? I don't think you are meant to have CC during the 2 week induction.
Might be wrong - I've never made oopsies (never needed to).0 -
Oh, am I not?! Grrrr!!!!! Will have to check that and re-think if that's the case!

daisy didnt think for one monent it was an easy way out as u say the recovery is pretty big.. i did consider it myself when i lost all the weight and still think about it now, had 2 ops last year (for health) and think that put me off but still wonder about it.. the joy of losing that apron must be wonderful
dont rule it out because it is a life changing surgery and i say that in all honesty - the confidence that it gives you is amazing
anyway i dont want to bore on about the wonders of cosmetic surgery - but if you want any more info just ask
well what a miserable day - dark grey lashing down with rain for most of it and really cold more like october than august
got most of what we needed in milton keynes without too many arguements and i gt some amazing pink sparkly dolly shoes - lush !!
saw my white jeans had been reduced in new look and was tempted to but them in a size 12 since i wont squeeze into my size 10's but i resisted - i should use them as an incentive tho wont have much call for them in this miserable weather !!
i did buy some bits all in a size 12 which still fits ok but a smidge on the tight size
food wise :-
B - 2 fried eggs 2 slices of corned beef tiny blob of ketchup
L - took kids to pizza hut !!! but had a prawn and crayfish tail salad as a starter supplemented with salad nicked off sons plate and picked the topping of one slice
D - not yet but will be yet more left over roast beef dinner - last of it tonight !!
snacks - 2 slices low carb bread butter and marmite and 1 oreo cookie !!!!!!:eek:

Well I've had my salad and I liked it! Hurrah! I now eat greens! This is a big day for me, I never ate salad before!
My BF did insist on eating a big bowl of chocolate cake and custard in front of me, he kept offering some but I refused. I'm not sure how! I'm determined to do this, if only to prove to him that I can! I suppose I'm going to have to learn to overlook all of the tempting sweet things! Not easy though as I am a chocaholic!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -

Just checked - cream cheese is okay in small quantities on induction for IPD. I'd say up to 25g day would be okay - that's 1g of carbs.0

Thanks Shykins and Tink! I'm glad I'm allowed it as I didn't want to waste the tub!
I wish it was BBQ weather all summer, you can't really plan with the rain right now can you? I'd love to live off BBQ'd meat!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -
Hi Birdie, Well done on starting this woe. I too bought the IPD book this week and sat all day on my day off reading it. My family got take away that night so they were'nt complaining!!! I have lost 5lb on Dr D's plan and that was mostly in the first week ok with that as the weight doesn't come of me very quick due to I suspect, years of yo yo dieting and a thyroid condition. The IPD book is very inspiring and I like the diary format that lets you know how you will be likely to be feeling on each day. Thinking of giving it a go to see if I need a more structured approach.”Pour yourself a drink, (tea for me now)
Put on some lipstick
and pull yourself together”
