  • Your right it wasn't humorous... it was humerous... a well timed elbow in the kisser under the ha, ha, couldn't resist.

Lol. :rotfl: I hate to say it but that did make me laugh.
By the way it's you're not your. ;)

Thanks Leiela. You have put it in another way that maybe people won't take so personally and might see what I am trying to get at.

Mercy I also want to say I wasn't aware this was just a "support" forum. Whilst I agree for the most part it is supportive. You are right I don't need support or certainly the type that says it is okay to cheat with no true indication of the consequences. Should I go?

This isn't just a support forum thread. It is good to have folk on board who put us straight. Also we have moneysaving. I have appreciated the 'heads up' on pepperami and the good deal H&B have on coconut oil at the mo.

I don't think you should go. Maybe a little more information from me will help you see why we aren't all as committed as yourself.

The reasons we get overweight are many and varied. Mine was depression and I doubt I'm alone in that. Over the last 12 months I have tackled it nutritionally, and seem to see real benefits. Low carb helps. I have also taken on Vitamin D which I believe has done me as much good mentally as physically (if the 2 can be separated :))

When 'The Black Dog' is on me I do not care about my good choices and deliberately sabotage myself due to lack of self worth. This leads to guilt and further lack of self worth because I am rubbish at this.

It is inspiring to hear about people who have motivation, for whatever reasons. So your input is welcome ;) lively debate is always useful

Since I changed my diet and took supplements black dog hasn't visited as often :) But it is still there.

Changing these things takes time. Being able to come here has helped.

Glad you like the recipes! I mostly only collate but I hope it's a useful resource.

My big fall down was cake. I haven't had anything sweet or with sweeteners for over a week. We get stronger everyday, just doesn't all happen at once for everyone.

Big love to all low carbers!

Still been drinking plenty of water and herb tea - although I did have a coffee today in town with my mum but didn't join her in the scone eating, in fact I had a look at all the food available and didn't famcy any of it - even the cake looked sickly to me. I think I have definately had a shift in my head towards "this is going to do me no good" rather than "ooh tempting I could quite happily demolish that"

I was like that this weekend in the pub! I just didn't fancy what they had on offer. Tis working! :j

    I DO hope so!

It does us good to be shaken up a little. I have found all this quite positive on the whole ;)

But I am a bit awkward by nature :rotfl:

I hate the way this thread has gone..

But.. I think i'm doing great, I have had lots of temptation and mostly resisted. I admire your dedication kissit but i dont want to be so strict that i can never look forward to a glass of wine or milk in my tea, poison or not. I am happy that i am no longer addicted to bread and my carb consumption is low, that is a breakthrough for me, i am 53 and have been addicted to carbs for many many years.
I am also happy that my blood sugar is no longer high. Small steps, giant leaps.
Please lets not resort to correcting spelling and grammar, that is not what the thread is about. It is something that i am good at but not everyone is and that is what we must remember, we are all different.

Also the 28 day rule is because hormones fluctuate during the monthly cycle and so does my weight so in 28 days i can get a more accurate measurement of my weightloss if any.

    mercy thanks for reply

Tink thanks no i need to cut out the milk etc

If anyone does a search on me they will see i have said this before im not lying im just having a bad week again have quite a few of those.

I know of all the moaners on here im prob the biggest target to moan at cause im posting all down falls regularly. But the first time i was told off i was tempted not to confess but it is good for the soul and cant be what im not Losser :rotfl: but seriously i have been so helped by this thread and dont feel i give as much as i take thanks everyone.

Even the school mistress's on here i love there moaning, mem at school you always did your homework for them or expected to get a telling of if it wasn't done :rotfl:

I so love the pupils that i meet in the smokers corner. And usually get caught :EasterBun

Seriously tho i have had such a bad day im nearly ready to break down at times, so much going on in life to long to start, but this has really cheered me up. I have lol'd at the arguing it is so funny. I take the abuse in the spirit its given and the support form all my fellow smokers.

Im not going to vow to be atkins dieter of the year (pride comes before the fall) and im not going fall off the wagon completely but my hope is by trial and error ill get there.

    Sure you'll do it!

Simply stopping pastry, rice, spuds, sugar you are doing yourself good.
