Thanks for all the well wishes for DH. We just got back. They did find a narrowing of one of his arteries so he has to go back for another one to have a stent fitted:eek: . Was told the waiting list is 6-8 weeks and can't fly for 2 weeks after. We are going to Florida in 10 weeks so really pushing it time wise.
It's been a very long day. Some good news though. DH's cholestral just before Christmas was 7.4, todays was 4.7!!!!:D
Now, what are all those adverts about saturated fats (i.e atkins diet) raising cholestral and causing heart disease:rolleyes:
Hope your DH gets appointment sooner rather than later & then he can recuperate in the Florida sunshine.
The change is cholestral level is amazing!! :j0 -
can understnd that - i didnt join for ages cos didnt want my daughter on there - only thing your missing is seeing me tagged in many many drunken piccies !! another weakness :rotfl:0

"I am NOT directing this at anyone because you are all your own responsibility but I don't find the copious excuses helpful.
You dont need to.
We are presumably here with a common purpose. To use the low carb to it's best for some to get a handle on diabetes, others to shift weight.
Agreed. But we all do this in our own way the best we can, obviously it's harder for some than it is others. If we could all do it with no hiccups along the way then we'd all be thin from the first attempt and the world wouldn't have weight problems, would it?
We are not a confessional. Telling us about naughtiness doesn't negate the damage you are doing by not following the plan."
Maybe not but I was under the impression this thread was as much for support as it was for information. Forgive us for falling off the wagon and sharing our sins. I'll make sure my posts are all of the positive variety from now on. (After this one at least. )

Sweet...good to see you back at it. :T
Badger...hope the new job is going well.
mazzers....sound like you can sit in the corner with me and sweet.
Newish...sorry to read about your hubby. Hope things are all positive from here on in.
Will need to go read through the thread to catch up now.......is Shy and Tink still as bossy?:rotfl:
(Tink...finally tried the 85% dark choc just to see how an Easter Egg would be you understand  ......I wasn't fond tbh so it looks like I'm gonna safe from the perils of Easter after all.:D )Herman - MP for all!0 -
this is what i was wondering - had 3 sunbeds over the last week or so - feeling a bit SAD and winter blueish - dont normally see much colour unless 4/6 sessions but have a definite colour just after a few minutes - nice !! :T
I've been thinking about doing this too......I know sunbeds are not really a great idea healthwise but I always feel tanned flab is much more forgiving than white flab. :rotfl:
(Would probably cost too much in self tanning lotion)

So busy waffling on I forgot to say Good Morning all!! :hello:
Another beautiful morning here so planning on going for a walk later - just have to get some washing sorted first.
Have already nibbled a pork steak this morning but the rest of my menu will be:
B - buttery scrambled egg & pork steak
L - tuna salad
D - chicken, cheesy leeks & mushrooms, cabbage medley that I forgot to cook last night!!
Note to self that I need to drink more water today, don't remember having any yesterday apart from in coffee & hot lemon.
Got woken up with really painful cramp in my calf this morning - had to literally jump out of bed - ouch!! I know this has been mentioned before so I'm going to have a look through posts for advice but it's never happened to me before so was a bit of a shock to the system!!
Have a good day everyone.0 -
alias, good to see you back!!
