Ooh great minds think alike sweet - am having the same lunch as you.

    Todays menu then:
B - omelette with cheese and ham
    L - tuna salad
    D - chicken stir fry

I know in the Atkin's book I have it says you can have salad dressings as long as they are not over 2 carb per tablespoon so can I include mayo in that? Not going to get any til thurs if I can then if not won't be missing it.

newish hope all has gone ok for your DH

I've just dropped DH off at the hospital for an angiogram. I'm going to take the kiddies to school and will then go in myself to be with him. He's done really well on atkins. He's lost 2st 2lb since 1st Feb. I just hope this angiogram goes as well.......:(

    Good luck to DH

I had angiogram last Sept and was clear but found it an unpleasant experience. hope all ok.

I'd have thought so - given that we absorb vit D through the skin when we aren't wearing sunscreen ;)

Mayo is recommended. Helmenns is the lowest carb Ive found-do check them all-they vary a lot!!!
If it says light or lowfat its high in carbs.
Been good so far-today Ive had a swim-had some ham with cream cheese on it-rolled it up. Not really been hungry today-I get days like that! Off to the gym-then I will think of food again later.

    Hi

Thanks for all the well wishes for DH. We just got back. They did find a narrowing of one of his arteries so he has to go back for another one to have a stent fitted:eek: . Was told the waiting list is 6-8 weeks and can't fly for 2 weeks after. We are going to Florida in 10 weeks so really pushing it time wise. :(

It's been a very long day. Some good news though. DH's cholestral just before Christmas was 7.4, todays was 4.7!!!!:D
Now, what are all those adverts about saturated fats (i.e atkins diet) raising cholestral and causing heart disease:rolleyes:
If you think nobody cares whether you're alive or dead, try missing a couple of mortgage payments.

    My way is Atkins;)
