    Yay!!!:j :j :j
I've lost another 1lb...... 3lb to go (and its TOTM!!!!!)
I'm still sticking to just meat and eggs at the mo, so meals are a bit limited but its amazing how creative you can become with just a few spices:D

I'm going to stick with this for one more week and then slowly start to introduce carbs again (I'm quite consious that this can't be good for too long!!). I'm also still exercising. I can 'run' on my cross trainer for a whole half an hour now!!!!!!!!!

I've just dropped DH off at the hospital for an angiogram. I'm going to take the kiddies to school and will then go in myself to be with him. He's done really well on atkins. He's lost 2st 2lb since 1st Feb. I just hope this angiogram goes as well.......:(
If you think nobody cares whether you're alive or dead, try missing a couple of mortgage payments.

    My way is Atkins;)

Thanks for being bossy Shykins it really helps and needs doing. If I'm honest I probably knew the sponge was a bad idea so i did tell my DH on sunday night that it was the last time I was making it until we move on from induction.

    Menu for today
B - scrambled egg with soft cheese
L - not sure yet probably tuna mayo with rocket salad
D - pork chop with brocoli

Yesterday I have to admit on snaking on the following as well as my meals I posted although don't feel too bad as I didn't have dinner:-

Made oopsies and ate the lot throughout the afternoon and also had pork scratchings!!!!
    Started Atkins 22/02/09 - total weightloss 11lbs:j

    |Hello all,

just wanted to drop in with a line because it was weigh-in day yesterday (Mon) and I wanted to see how my weightloss looks in my new sig :rotfl:

That's 8 1/2 lbs in 3 weeks.......I'm sure I've lost more when I've done Atkins before, however, I've never stuck to it for more than a few weeks and I feel in a really good place in my head with it this time, a lot of which is down to the help and encouragement on this board....so thanks to all for keeping me on the straight and narrow! :T

I feel the same, i know i have to do it healthwise which is helping but also i feel that a few slip ups on the way is acceptable as i have now got my head around the fact that its a lifetime plan not a diet. I cant do what i normally do and say sod it i'm not losing, i just think of all the sugar circulating in my blood if i carb out and know that i will become diabetic so it stops me but this thread is so encouraging.:T

You don't have any control over what life throws at you.
You DO have control over how you react :)

OMG none of it even looks remotely appetising. Looks like a form of punishment:rotfl:
  • Hello Little Miss, I don`t believe there`s such a thing as low-carb Cottage Cheese. I seem to recall that it`s not on Atkins because there`s too many carbs in it for Induction.( Dr D `s slightly different, I know...) Cream cheese, maybe?

    Regards, Nerdy.
I tried a google search and came up with around 3-4g per 100g. Is that not low carb? Does no-one here eat it then?
  • Hiya everyone :hello:
It's a gorgeous day here in the North East of England, hope everyone's having a lovely day today.
I mostly stuck to my menu yesterday but I seemed to be really hungry so had a bit more chicken & coleslaw as a snack & another cheddar babybel, think that was all.
    Anyway, today's menu -
B - buttery scrambled egg & 2 pork loin steaks (I was stuffed!! One steak would have been enough)
L - tuna salad (will be making in a minute)
    D - garlic chicken with mushrooms/cabbage medley/cheesy leeks
Which reminds me, I had cheesy leeks & mushroom with my dinner last night because I was so hungry!! :rotfl: As well as the cabbage that was already on my menu.
Feel like I'm getting back into the swing of things after my short lapse. :o

  • LittleMiss, I sometimes have cottage cheese on my salads, it's not that bad but think I did see in my Atkins Library book that it's not suitable for induction.
It's nice with some spring onions chopped into it if you find it a bit bland.
  • newish, hope your DH gets on ok with the angiogram. My Dad has been through that so I know it can be a worry. Hope your DH get's the all-clear.
