Welcome ka7e
Morning everyone. Just a quickie sazzy. Just having some compressed hamster bedding (aka scan bread lol) for breakfast, with some butter and cheese. Then gotta dash out to witness a couple of friends tying the knot in a civil partnership ceremony later this morning.
Just noticed the newly plumbed in bath is dripping water into the premises below me:rolleyes: They'll go mad when they find out. Have phoned builder and he is supposedly 'on his way'. I don't need the stress tbh... can I have a new life please?
Anyway, back on track - prawns and avocado last night. Maybe a glass or two of champagne today to toast the happy couple, but don't want to stray into hi-carb territory today anymore than that as although I've maintained weight loss this week, I've not lost any more.
Have a good day everyone

ravy..hope u feel better today, u should only weigh once a week cos our bodies do weird and wonderful things and our hormones make our weight vary so much over the space of a few days, as long as yr weekly trend is down then dont worry

ERA JUMP: Omega-3 fatty acids and plaque
the greater the omega-3 blood level, the less plaque by either measure was detected.
You may recall I mentioned a study earlier in this thread showing 1.5g of omega 3 daily improved satiety and made you less likely to snack. Well this is another reason to nip down to Holland and Barrett and snap up a pot of these.
Fish Oil Concentrate Capsules 1000mg 250 Capsules£0.03 Normal price £18.99 £7.99 Managers Specials
Ted how many of these do you think to take, it says 1 to 3 on the label
Do get the Special offer ones, the others work out more expensive but at 3p each x 5 =15p a day isn't too bad.”Pour yourself a drink, (tea for me now)
Put on some lipstick
and pull yourself together”

Why do I lose my weight on the weekend? I probably eat more and do less than in the week.
Hope you are all wellGirls are gonna love the way I toss my hair. Boys are gonna hate the way I seem.
I would rather drown with you than watch the surf with someone else0 -

So you don't need to be paying more than £6.
You can wee in a container and then dab the end in. Doing it midflow may cause problems if your as daft as I am and try to extract the stick from the pack singlehanded.
(I dropped the whole pack you know where and once they've landed in the water they are not much use any more fortunately I was near the end of the pack.) I haven't bothered to get another pack as using Dr D's plan I never got more than a trace to show so was never likely to be anywhere near the middle or upper ranges.
You can also get these from the low carb website not very good at links, so not sure if it will work

Ted how many of the capsules do you take the label says 1 to 3 capsules
The label says 180 +120=300mg per capsule so 5 x 300= 1500mg =1.5g
The point of taking Omega 3 is to restore the ratio Omega 3 <> omega 6 to do that you need to take a SIGNIFICANT effective amount.
A tin of sardines would provide 2g omega 3
A 4oz portion of salmon contains omega 3 fatty acids 2.09 g
If you limit your intake to that recommended on the Holland and Barrett label then it's likely you will not reach your weekly total. Unless of course you increase your oily fish consumption as well.
The research I linked to previously showed 1.5g daily of omega 3 capsules or 3 portions of oily fish weekly kept the dieters feeling fuller.
The later link comparing the Japanese men showed those with the highest Omega 3 intake had the lowest risk of stroke.
The actual intake of omega-3 fatty acids (EPA +DHA) in Japanese ranges from 850 to 3100 mg per day.
The greater the omega-3 blood level, the less plaque was detected.
You don't have to worry about the mercury content of fish oil capsules because they use smaller, shorter lived, surface living fish to get the oil.
Fish that collect the mercury are those species that live longer get bigger and are predatory on other fish (thereby concentrating the pollutants) [url=http://heartscanblog.blogspot.com/2008/08/mercury-and-fish-oil.html]Thus, shark, swordfish, and King mackerel are higher in mercury than sardines, herring, and salmon.
