    Are you me?!

    :A

PMSL... no I am ME... and you are YOU! Bet you think I'm YOU and you are ME :rotfl: Maybe that bloke was right the lack of carbs is affecting us!!!

Talking of that... I keep trying to figure out which of the carbs is essential??? Purrlease, pretty please can someone tell me? :rotfl:
  • Well I had a few debates at work today re Atkins and their misinformation. Even my best friend was on about "all that fat" so I ran through what I had today-and yesterday. That stopped that!
Then another one-looked at me like I was mad-I silenced her too!
Nobody will get away with critiscising what I am doing as I know how good it is.
So-welcome newbies-I am am now on my 4th week of induction as from today and yes it is safe-and yes-it does work.
2 weeks induction is the minimum-not the only amount you are allowed to do. The book says its safe for up to 6 months! As the second weeks arrives you should find you have choices you didnt realise and hopefully you are more inventive. This is good if you have a lot of weight to lose. However-many people get cramp and this is painful-as the book says-supplements can be very important. No cramp for me this time!
This is the first time Ive taken the supplements and the only time I am looking at doing a longish spell of induction. I am very happy on it and I can eat a lot of things and Im "never" hungry-I do mean-NEVER for any newbies!
I used to be a continual carb grazer but I really dont miss it. The only thing I find most difficult to ditch is coffee-but-today I havent enjoyed that so I guess Ive somewhat lost the addiction.
Well I have put aside some leisurewear to buy for my new gym membership tomorrow! Didnt get jewellery after all-nothing temped me so its leisurewear-on offer at work with my discount and using some vouchers so wont cost much. Still MSE! Looks like my membership is a good deal from what you all say-Im very happy about that too.
Tonight Im having chicken wrapped in bacon with cauliflower. Great thing is-all I need to do is add potato for everyone else! easy!

Oh I know one (see told you I'd be back) - I do a chicken wrapped in bavarian ham stuffed with mozzarella - is that induction friendly? Its only about 1oz of cheese and 2 slices of ham.
  • Moonrose 77-that sounds good to me!
Only thing I do with ham is to check the label for carbs incase its glazed with honey or anything but the Bavarian smoked sounds fine and all induction friendly(unless anyone corrects me)
I did notice on my pack of German smoked ham that it contains Nitrates which should be avoided where possible.
Tonight I had one and a half smallish chicken breasts wrapped in bacon with a pile of cauli and cheese sauce. I am stuffed. I did have a couple of pieces of 85% choc which is approx 3 carbs. I have had approx 10-12g carbs today allowing for a lot of cauli! Even if Im a bit out-its no more than 15g which is why I find it so easy to stay under 20g. I must try the meringues! Oh-younger dd thought I was having custard on my cauli!!!!:rotfl: :rotfl:

good for you if you believe atkins is working for you, but restricting essential carbs is not good for an active lifestyle.

    Why do you say that?
    Dave101t wrote: »
    'twas only a fact.
and yes i did think before i posted, as i said, good for you if its working!

As Ted suggests, on what evidence are you basing this 'fact'?

jpretty, such good news about your BG. Wish my OH would consider LC.

jorichste, I know exactly what you mean about a whole bar of 85% choc. Just a few squares? Ha ha ha!
