What puts me off is doing without tea or coffee. If I can have a cup of coffee with double cream or berries with greek yoghurt or cream I do not feel as if I am on a diet or missing out on anything. I also cannot drink tea without milk.

Normally I just have to start a conventional diet and I am constantly hungry and deprived with food being the only thing that I can think about!

The low carb way I have never had to go to bed feeling hungry and am not constantly thinking about food and craving things I should not have.

Tonight when I went to the fridge for my seafood salad DD had eaten it!!! On a conventional diet I would have burst into tears or given up and stuffed myself with something forbidden - instead I have just had some low carb ham with a few slivers of cheddar cheese and a few cherry tomatoes.

My new trousers are really starting to feel loose!:j

well even when i started atkins i NEVER went without coffee, i had it with cream... i did change to decaff (cos of my gallstones) and now drink roughly half decaff and half caffiene

some of the girls water down milk to have with tea, berries come in after induction and some people use greek youghurt without any problems .. i used to have kefir myself but have gone off it at the moment lol

    yaaay on the trouser

Elona I couldnt agree more I cant drink tea without milk and I have tried decaff tea but I only drink Earl grey and I've never found a decaff version.Great news about the trousers by the way and I would have lost it good style if my hubby had eaten my tealaughing-smiley-014.gifMy hubby got on the scales and lost 3lbs yesterday and was chuffed to bits,I think if he'd not lost anything or stayed the same he'd have given up.So I'm pleased for him.I've packed him some ham and cheese rolls and coleslaw for lunch so that should keep him going till tea time

Decaf Earl Grey is easy to find! Twinings do it, and it is in most supermarkets with the speciality teas. It is in a pale grey box, and tastes just as good as the caf version. I used to drink it for years when ttc, but 2 kids later am back on the full caf version, though have been known to buy the decaf if the supermarket is out of caf version.

    Morning everyone

Slept ok but sill feeling a bit groggy. Going to make a coffee in a minute - with caffeine and milk:) see if that wakes me up a bit.

Wasn't feeling very hungry last night so had half of the avocado and the goat's cheese for dinner and that was enough to be honest.

Got ham salad and the last of my current batch of coleslaw for lunch today.

shykins - I find the kefir really tricky to get the consistency right - it's either too thin or almost solid lol

    Have a good day everyone.

    Much love,

Had bacon omelette at 8 o' clock and some tea.

I need to go out and collect a parcel at the sorting office and then get free range eggs from the weekly market.

Hope I manage it before it starts to rain.

Might ask DH to give me a lift to the local large Tesco as I want to get something for DD and I might try on some clothes for there to see if I am really a dress (or trousers) size down yet.

Thought about baked salmon steaks and asparugus for later if there are any offers on.

    See you later

I was doing myself down. I have been brilliant whilst they have been here. I have watched all sorts of things eaten and drunk. All I have done is I had a bit more veg than usual last nite.

Aaah - I didn't know you could make kefir with cream! I thought it had to be milk. Thanks shykins, yet another tip of yours I must try! *Saz adds cream to shopping list :D I can always post you some grains if yours don't come back to life x

My evening-meal indecisiveness continues... Maybe the 'effort' of having to make my lunch in advance for work every day means that come evening-time, I just can't summon the enthusiasm? Ho hum. Maybe I'll treat myself to a steak burger from M&S on the way home... see how I feel when I leave work later.

    Hope everyone's ok.
