    Morning everyone

    Welcome ~daisy~ :)

Still feeling a bit zonked today... wish I could go back to bed:o Went to the gym this morning before work but it was a real effort - just felt like I had no energy. Bizzarely, I was craving a large glass of orange juice this morning - which is very odd considering I don't even like it and never drink it lol! Think I was just wanting something to give me a quick energy hit? You right tho shykins maybe it's the heat...

Anyway, hope you're all doing ok. I have some h/m coleslaw with some cheese and salad with me for lunch today. Not sure what to have for dinner. Have some veggies to use up, but kitchen is in a bit of a state with builders at the minute, so needs to be something quick and minimal cooking.

    Love to everyone,
    Sazzy xxxxxxx

Oh btw, shykins - I tried making the cheese crisps last night - but in my excitement I think I cut the cubes of cheese too big, so they spread all over the plate!:o :rotfl:Still yummy tho! x

    Yesterday.....
B 3g carb crispbread with butter and cheese and a bit of pak choi
L 2 egg omelette with 2 slices ham, cheese, coriander....some more pak choi
D 2 bacon, 3 sausage (low carb ish), egg, alfaffa/cucumber
    S(nack) another slice of ham
Dr(inks) 2 coffee (decaf) with clotted cream stirred in...and loads of water

    Today:
    B about 75g cheese
    Cup of rooibos

Surrounded by tempation from my guests but I'm ok. Bit annoyed that i've put a 1lb on over last two days....and I haven't been naughty really.

Oh I've have a cold since Monday morning as well which isn't making me too happy.

    Good Luck xxx

Gilly badger - don't know if this helps - but just wanted to say since doing this lo carb thing, my weight has fluctuated a pound or so up and down, within the overall downward trend. So I wouldn't get too disheartened xx It could also be fluid retention because of your cold. And on that subject, you could add a thin slice of fresh ginger to your rooibos tea - it's quite soothing when you have a cold and it's a natural antibacterial.

Use of Vitamin D in Clinical Practice says Theoretically the use of Pharmacological doses of Vitamin D (2000IU/Kg/d for 3 days) may produce enough of the naturally occurring antibiotic cathelicidin to cure common viral respiratory infections such as influenza and the common cold.

There is also an interesting graph in this paper showing 2000iu/d3/d virtually eliminated cold incidence. This matches my experience. I keep a stock of 50,000iu capsules ready to knock a cold/flu on the head and as yet I've only tried it once and what I thought were cold symptoms disappeared so quickly I think I must have been mistaken.

This mirrors my pattern. Providing I stay under 11stone 6lbs I'm not bothered. I'm just on my way back to 11st 3lbs after getting to 11st 5lbs when we had some visitors and a few bottles of wine/puddings etc. That is why I'm adding a tsp of coconut oil to my morning/mid-afternoon green tea.. I'm back to losing 5 oz daily so in 2 days I'll be back to 11st 3lbs 0ounces

Hi shykins - I've not been out of my office today - and for once the air con has been working properly, so I dare say when I leave I'll get a shock at how hot it is outside. Must make sure I don't suddenly find myself eating a Magnum ice cream on the way to the tube!:D I don't feel like cooking tonight either... don't want salad but can't decide what it is I do want lol
