  • Ooooh get me, drinking low-carb lager!! Gluten-free, wheat-free 0.15g carbs/100ml. 4.7% alcohol. As not a big lager drinker, dunno how it compares, just tastes like lager to me!

My rabbit used to eat his own droppings.............! Just thought I'd get my contribution in. :T

Where did you buy the lager Pilly? What's it called?
  • It's Belgian, called Green's Trailblazer. Got it in Morrisons, £2.49 for a 500ml bottle. Cobra claims to be lower carb but as it doesn't list it's nutritional values, it's prob a gimmick. :D
  • What I'm after is a low-carb, alcohol-free lager! :rotfl:

  • Ooo low carb lager and 85% chocolate some time in the future! What is the carb content of the choc please? Yes-I know I cant have it yet but its something to look forward to later(like when Im a stone less) Lol.
Well Ive done 12 days of induction but Im sticking to it for an extra 2 weeks-hopefully I can fit in a bit more exercise but its getting organised and finding time for myself which is always the problem.
Ive got to hide some of my yummy foods I need for Atkins or my dd will guzzle it up. Good job Ive got 2 fridges. Got lots of reduced meat last week and reduced leeks, cauli and brocolli yesterday so Ive got loads of "legal" things to cook.
Found the cheapest place for Blue cheese is Iceland-£1 a pack whereas I paid £1.49 the other day! DD doesnt like blue cheese yippee!(But DH does)
I did spend a lot the first few days-replacing the things in my fridge.

  • Day 6!

Breakfast - 3 scrambled eggs and a portobello mushroom
Lunch - spinach bread with cream cheese
Dinner - 2 sausages with cauliflower mash

I just realised I made a mistake on my veggie sausages! I read a pack of Cauldron, which were 4g per 100g; then read the Quorn ones (which I'm not keen on) and the were only 2.3g per 100g so I chose them. I've just realised that it wasn't per 100g, it was per sausage! Won't be buying them again...

  • Please forgive me fellow low-carbers, for I have sinned::o
Roast potatoes x 2, yorkshire puds x 2, pieces of toast x 6, steak pie, boiled potatoes x 2, trifle, piece of 'wedding' cake, rolls x 2, packet of crisps, potato wedges, pieces of pizza x 4, cream eggs x 3!!:o
The above doesn't include low-carb items that I ate with all the naughty things. :oIt also doesn't include the profiteroles I intend having today.:o
I'm now going to slink away for a few hours to reflect on my wrong-doings. Will be back tomorrow. :o And it's weigh day tomorrow. _pale_
  • I got some M & S sausages the other day and they are I think 78% meat and 3.2 g of carbs per sausage. I got them for the kids and even DH who doesnt eat sausages ate those. Not a place I generally shop but I went in for a look around and they were selling 2 packs for £3.

Oh Dear! Sweetserendipity! But-you know what they say when you fall off a horse? Get straight back on!
That is a carb blowout. I too was naughty but not in those proportions. I had a small slice of Victoria sponge. Now a while ago I would of thought oh well-damage done-and kept on eating naughty stuff. Not this time.
O.K. Temptation does get the better of us at times but lets have some "damage limitation".
Now you see why Im going for 4 weeks induction. I need to hide the scales too. My weight normally fluctuates within 2lbs which on a bad day could be disheartening so form Tuesday-my official weigh in day-Im gonna be an angel.

oh sweet u naughty girl!! why?? why?? u been doing SO well ... oh well pick yrself up and dust yrself up and tomorrow is another day!!!

u can buy lowcarb cobra which is different to the ordinary one. also michelob ultra is lowcarb i have seen both in morrisons..... altho i belive the tescos value one is pretty low in carbs depends on how much of a lager connoisseur u are BUT remember body burns alcohol first

i belvie the 85% is around 12g carbs for 100g but obviously this depends on the brand u buy so a couple of cubes which is all u need is 2-3g
