Trouble is tho, Ive got low potassium and had bit of heart scare due to this so really need dried apricots or bananas or something else not good for low carb.
And no good going to doc for any such advice as we all know
Here's a list of potassium rich foods, you probably don't need to rely on apricots an bananas.

Could I use flax instead of the almond flour for those pancakes shykins? Almond flour not allowed on Induction for some funny reason
. I've made those cream chesse pancakes and they were lovely but fancy trying a different recipe.

Hello again, thanks to everyone who responded to me last night. What a lovely bunch! I have stopped the bars as of this morning and have also started inputting my foods into Fitday. I know it'as american but i find it easier to use than the Uk versions.
Yesterdays food came out as about 60% fat, 30%protein and 10%carbs (around 30 grams). I thinks that's ok. Might try to get the carbs down into the 20's.
When it comes to snacks I have been having cheese, the odd handful of nuts and occasionally peperami (my office love this one - it reeks!).
In a weeks time I have to go out to a Birthday party for my father in law. it will be fun but involves staying in a hotel the night and spending from lunchtime till late at night at the party. How do I eat right without letting on I am on some "cray Diet" as they would all take the mick....is it best just to explain what I am doing and accept the inevitable criticism. People just don't understand!0 -

again, it's because almonds are nuts which are not allowed on atkins induction.0 -
There was a question about depression and the effect of a low carb diet.
Just come across this

OK, confession time - I told someone I was off to a meeting, got in my car and drove home! I've seen to the chickens (they're OK, but it's nice to see them in the afternoon) and because I feel so hungry (it's weird - I'm not exactly hungry, my body's just trying to make up for the lack of carbs by eating more), I've treated myself to a small piece of cheddar and half a tomato - do you think that would be OK?
I've also boiled up a couple of eggs to take back with me (I've got an actual meeting at 4pm) to keep me going - again, am I going to ruin things by eating more than Rose Elliot's daily plan??Mortgage | £145,000Unsecured Debt | [strike]£7,000[/strike] £0 Lodgers | |0 -

i doubt it - your body is used to you fasting so is probably adjusting to this way of eating
i'm sure what you've chosen to eat on top is just fine0 -
well badger not sure what that plan is so cant advise if its ok what u have eaten or not BUT i am sure eggs cant be wrong and if theyt make u feel better!!
nzmegs bear in mind fotday is american and u need to deduct the fibre total from the carb total for the net carb amount
alm sorry i dont know if u can use flax.. i am no fan of pancakes so have not tried any of the recipes... all i can say is give it a try and report back

For a zillion low-carb ideas, of which pancakes make up about a billion% of the recipes, go to lowcarber site. Soz, don't have link, I just google it and it's 1st or 2nd. Find the kitchen link and "hey presto", more recipes for low-carbers than you can shake a stick at.
I haven't joined, I'm just a voyeur! :j0
